Fears of a wider health and environmental disaster are growing, after a 150-car freight train operated by Norfolk Southern derailed and a so-called controlled burn released toxic chemicals last week in East Palestine, Ohio. Residents reported seeing a fireball and mushroom cloud of smoke fill the skyline. Data released by the Environmental Protection Agency shows the train contained more toxic and carcinogenic chemicals than initially reported, including phosgene, a poisonous gas that has been used as a chemical weapon in war. Officials lifted an evacuation order for residents last Wednesday, saying the air and water were safe, but residents have reported sore throats, burning eyes and respiratory problems, and wildlife has been found dead. Meanwhile, scrutiny has turned onto Norfolk Southern, which in recent years has challenged regulatory laws aimed at making the rail industry safer and made mass cuts to railroad staffing while spending billions on stock buybacks and executive compensation. We get an update from Emily Wright, community organizer based near the site of the derailment; Ross Grooters, a locomotive engineer and co-chair of Railroad Workers United; and Julia Rock, an investigative reporter with The Lever.

Anytime 9/11 is brought up it's a conspiracy theory. When facts point towards those conspiracies being true. Like absolutely NO plane debris being visible at the Pentagon "crash" site. Same with the fields where a "plane crashed" on 9/11. Not a single seat or airplane piece was visible in that field. A controlled burn suggests that the chemicals in the spill were too toxic to be safely handled but while the burn may have been controlled to avoid the fire spreading it certainly won't have been controlled in the fumes going into the atmosphere, an open fire like the one shown won't have the heat of incinerators found in industrial plants.
Burning will have caused the impact of the pollution to become more widespread, the visible cloud might go straight up but any school child should know about air currents that can't be seen.
The mantra of no toxins is typical of corporate lies that follows events like this.

Stop reporting it as "Controlled burn", this was an "intentional destruction of evidence by burning ". – A Controlled burn is when I ration piles of leaves in my yard in a small fire pit, and the next block over doesn't smell it.
I think there was more chemical present than is allowed and they burned it simply because it was cheaper and faster to getting the track cleared.
Norfolk Southern is not in the business of public health, they are a rail company, and their priority is moving trains filled with goods at a profit.
I live 80 miles away and evacuated myself a few days ago. I had severe headaches, nauseau, burning in my throuat, lungs and nose. Could someone other than the government test the air? I believe it was more than these 5 toxins. They had to be pushed to already release those 5 chemicals, but what if it had nuclear waste in them and that's why they did everything to hide it?
