Hey guys! In this video, I talked about the similarities between Korean and Filipino cultures. I’ve encountered videos that talked about the ‘differences’ between both cultures, but not the ‘similarities’. As I mentioned in the video, I think it’s sometimes more important to take note of the similarities in order to make positive connections with the country. So I pondered upon it and came up with a few of them. Hope you enjoy!

Main difference I've seen is that Filipinos are extremely cheap and want to hold their money and take it with them when they die. Koreans are much more lax about their money and spend when they need to.

The fair skin preference goes back to pre colonial period of the Philippines so I don't know if western culture is the only direct cause but maybe, it has something to do with it

Mam Jessica… the more i watch your videos… i noticed when you speak in english you remind me of the beautiful ladies of the PAL (PHILIPPNE AIR LINES)
Hi! "PO" in our country are not always used at the end of each sentence. It can be used also in the middle. Example is "Puwede po ba ninyo akong turuan?". "Po" can be also be "Pong". For example is, "Ano pong mga araw-araw niyong ginagawa?". It mostly used after one word then follow by po or pong, or in the middle or end.
Aww we donโt used โpoโ in Cebu, but always showing respect for older ones โmano poโ but not in other part of Philippines..
"Po" doesn't always have to be at the end of a sentence.
Example: Palagi po kasi sila nag-aaway.
youre such a nice and beautiful woman,
this is dokkaebitv, thank you and hopefully you will notice us.
I once had a Korean neighbor, I like Kimchi.
โ๏ธ๐ ๐ต๐ญ Fun Fact:
"Pata" commonly, usually, or typically translates to pig's trotter, petitoe, pig's foot/feet, pig's leg/s, or pig's knuckle/s in English, even though it really literally translates to any foot/foot, leg/s, or knuckle/s of any land or terrestrial animal with legs and feet, and are usually used for food.
โ๏ธ๐ ๐ต๐ญ Fun Fact:
"Kangkong" directly translates to "water spinach" in English or at least in Philippine or Filipino English. (It is also known and translates to many other different names and translations in English and in other languages.) It can be sautรฉed or "ginisa/gisado/guisado/ginisado" with garlic and cooking oil (or with ripe tomatoes, red onions, spice/s, and/or soy sauce), or made into a simple salad or "ensalada" with vinegar, vinaigrette, or other salad dressings (plus other ingredients, spice/s, pickles, or vegetables), aside from being used as an ingredient or vegetable in other Filipino dishes or meals like soups.
The reason why there's so many karaoke machines in the Philippines it is because it is develop, invented and patented by a Filipino inventor named Roberto Del Rosario, until such times it also brings and popularized outside the Philippines.
I guess we Asians have lots similarities in certain cultures. I think you can adapt well if you're in Malaysia. Come to Sabah or Sarawak sometime. We have kangkong here too :))).
Thank you for this video ate this is useful information for students like me I have to think what is the similarities of Filipino and Korean and it's hard for me AHAHHA but I saw your videos and I got the answer, thank you

Similarities will unite us, differences will divide us. Asia should unite.
This is the first time I've heard of "Boodle Fight" to name "Kamayan" which just means you eat with your hands (kamay). Interesting.
