  1. seems to me they had made up their mind from the start and just wasted everyone's time! if they wanted an indian chef from start then clearly specify that in the application form – Must be from India

  2. I feel the owners made a big mistake by hiring someone from outside . They should have trained and groomed some one internally or hired someone as a sous chef and helped him graduate to the chef position. You need experience for that!

  3. Wow they picked the wrong guy. Not my words but by the sounds of it their own plus the guests. Oh well I think Mark will go on to better things than this restaurant

  4. well coming from the Industry watching this " A complete Drama'.. Owners really need to be realistic with todays world and understand how important work life balance is.. While at the start acknowledging how difficult it is to find a good Head Chef will certainly with that initiative and thinking will be a long distance call and more importantly to keep one for a long time …

  5. If you look at this restaurant today in google map & instagram you wll see that its a very average curry house nothing more than that. Their kitchen is also very unorganised. Not at all a resturant kitchen runs like this. Don't know why they are showing off so much as if they are looking for a chef at a finedinnig restaurant.

  6. Everyone in the comment section on all the episodes saying they did not want a white chef…. OW HOW THE TURN TABLES. When white owners do it its " the best suited for the job" but the other way around its the same people commenting but now screaming racism.

  7. Hilarious series with 2 clown owners. Mark was the clear winner but the Indians were never going to hire a non Indian chef. The British chefs on the show were just for show, they never had a chance. They probably knew it as well to be fair but went along just to be on TV.

  8. Really? A designer thought painted hand prints on the wall has a professional appearance – maybe in a daycare. The robin egg blue tone was calming & worked will with the olive chairs. That was the winning choice.

  9. Seemingly low salary six days 60 hours a week. And I say this is someone with over 15 years experience in the industry that's not a chef they want that's a slave I'm not surprised it's taking the movie 6 months to the job. It ain't seem to understand the difference between being in an employee and being an owner.

  10. Glad Abinda didnt get through his hygene with rubbing/picking his nose in first episode and this episode was super unhygenic…sad mark didnt get the job but he is worth way more then these owners could ever give

  11. Sure Mark's found his niche – no one really wants to be a slave to the range – all the time! Intersting show, apart for the PESKY ADVERTS!!!

  12. Wow, wrong decision! A confused restaurant, with confused restaurant owners. They want "market food" then kick out the man who has shown them how to make "market food" and keep the fine dining chef who performance on the day was no where near Marks. An element of wanting an Indian chef for an Indian restaurant maybe?

  13. Iโ€™m not sure the restaurant came out positively from this series. There are a ton of red flags.

I am glad the person I feel deserved the job, had a lucky escape. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  14. To me, it sounds like they are nice guys, but they want someone to work long hours and at a low salary level that doesn't attract the type of people they want. It's interesting that it is a chefs market so we will see.

  15. …watching from Kenya ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช and thinking, i dont know much but this is ridiculous ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚…i mean a poor kitchen design, orders being shouted all over, one way in and out of the kitchen bla bla bla…just terrible. And i know nothing abt restaurants btw๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  16. It seems that Jay wanted a "head chef" who would relieve him of the day-to-day grind of running the kitchen, doing the ordering, and crunching the numbers but still wanted to have total control of the kitchen. That's an owner's prerogative, but he seems to really want a sous chef who will take on additional responsibilities. Any real head chef would probably chafe at having him as a boss. Also, food cost percentages can be helpful, but targeting them can be misleading. At the end of the day, what's the difference between food costs at 30% of ยฃ25 and 20% of ยฃ22? Virtually nothing. These result in a profit of ยฃ17.50 and ยฃ17.60, respectively. With Mark's inventive cost-saving dishes, they could have actually LOWERED menu prices while maintaining or increasing the number of pounds of profit per customer — which is what really counts in the end. Oh, well. Everyone seems to have gotten what he wanted. I think Mark is better off not having been selected. I think his talents can be better appreciated elsewhere.

  17. You've got to be kidding me! Really, chef Kodhit (sorry couldn't figure out how to spell his name, if anyone can show me the correct spelling of the winners name, please.) Mark was clearly the winner.. The only reason why he didn't get the job, (well we all know the reason…) Its sad really… We are all the same, Human.. we all bleed red, lol… Oh well never mind hey ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. I've just started watching. Based on the previous two episodes, I hope the final candidates turn down the job. This looks like an unhappy place to work.

  19. Goes as a starter on its own or a bar snack?? Pretty much any restaurant that has "bar snacks" menu is pretty much the starters!!! Aswell as sides of course. Deluded

  20. Mark was robbed. Always on point with costings, inventive and passionate about food. Kuldeep is less business savvy. Surprised by the outcome

  21. They had no desire to put a white dude in the kichen. They were all about selling the image and franchise. Sad really
