Mongoose VS Snake

In this video, a mongoose is challenged by an angry cobra. The mongoose runs quickly around the cobra, trying to figure out when to strike, while the cobra examines the mongoose’s every move, but not well enough because the mongoose delivers the fatal blow in the blink of an eye. It’s incredible to see this cobra stand the way it is, as the mongoose tries to attack it. The snake literally stands his ground against the feisty mongoose, but will it be enough.

Puff adders are venomous snakes, but it doesn’t deter this little guy from attacking it. The puff adder lunges at the mongoose to strike it, but misses, as the two animals continue their battle. The cobra is aggressive and strikes at the mongoose several times, but the mongoose is quick and avoids being hit. The mongoose is normally confident when approaching a cobra and is very careful and smart, so the snake cannot make contact.

Lizard VS Python

In this video, a large python is coiled around a lizard, but the lizard hasn’t given up, and it’s actually biting and piercing through the snake’s body, to the point of turning the tables on the snake, when it eventually bites its neck and practically rips its head off. Lizards and snakes often meet and fight over food. Sometimes the lizards win and sometimes the snakes win. In this video, the snake is coiled around the lizard, trying to suffocate it, but the lizard keeps marching forward, nonetheless.

The battle is long, and the lizard manages to get out of the snake’s hold to kill it. How’s that for a surprise ending. In this video, a Malayan monitor lizard struggles with a reticulated python it catches. The python fights back, but with its strong and powerful jaws, the lizard eventually wins. It’s not often that one sees these reptiles going at each other! This was a crazy sighting close to the Kunene River in Namibia, where a monitor lizard got the best of a good-sized African Rock Python.
