  1. If there are multiple attackers NEVER, NEVER, NEVER go to the ground and use techniques that put you on the ground or on your knees – like head-locking someone and putting them on the ground… you'll get your head eating kicks the second you go to the ground.

  2. I practise yoga, and weights training, and play basketball and dance so I am very flexible and have great strength and mobility, being always aware of my surroundings, especially in transitional spaces like getting into a car or fueling up

  3. This guy's videos have to be a joke, right? He is "fighting" 7 guys who obviously don't want to hurt him. Get jacked like i used to pussy and then really learn how to fight and survive. If you can run, then fucking run! if not you better be on your fighting game! And what i saw from him was absolutely hilarious.

  4. Yes in a perfect world this is all good advice. I had to take on three in the middle of a dark street. The third got behind me and broke my jaw with brass knuckles. It's not easy to pick the battlefield when you are being jumped.

  5. Happened to me 10 year's ago. 2 of them with swords while I was watching TV in my house. I survived by using the sofa as a shield as they tried to hack at me with their Narnia sword and light saber. I managed to jump out and counter attack and used a cushion to disarm them but accidentally hurt one and he started crying and my wife grabbed the cushion and started wacking me. I burst into tears and the perp became happy.

  6. The opposite of BJJ guys who want to flop on the ground and get in the come hither position they call Guard , That and BJJ guys forget a punch /elbow in the face solves alot of issues

  7. I trained in Krav Maga for several years in a mixed discipline school and we did real world exercises with other trained students just so we did not get complacent with one style or one defense. The most predictable thing in a fight is something unpredictable will probably happen that invalidates the defense you have trained and being able to adjust quickly can be the difference between life and death in a real situation. Krav draws many with zero prior training that just want to increase their chances of surviving a criminal attack of some kind and they are not always interested in following a ‘discipline’ such and BJJ or Taekwondo that teach technique, muscle memory and more importantly, put you in a certain headspace when it’s time to get physical and some are not really ready for the violence that comes with a real fight. Training with people who are skilled at violence helps you wrap your head around what damage may be necessary to inflict on a larger or stronger opponent or group of opponents if you want to make it home safe.

  8. This is great advice. I disagree with you often but it's just a difference of opinion. But, this video I agree 100% with you. Seriously great content.

  9. And in addition if you are armed with an Ingram Mac 10 with an extended 32 round magazine… Well easy enough to "wipe out every @£ in da room"!
On a more serious note, multiple attackers can be very unpredictable but pinning one quickly and keeping him between you and them does help but nothing is predictable especially when fighting from the ground, upwards!

  10. At the end of the day if you’re in that shitty of a situation multiple assailants or guy with a weapon (not a gun) you’re only option is to run and if you can’t outrun them run to a weapon and get ready

  11. Comment sections in these fight tutorials are the best. “I grew up on the rough streets of the West Compton section of East Brooklyn. I’m half-Crip on my mother’s side, Blood on my father’s. To get out of a roug situation I chose the military over prison. After being a Navy Seal I worked as a bouncer at a white supremacist titty bar. I’ve broken several noses and choked out guys twice my size by wrapping my schlong around necks. Now let me give my two cents about this video…”

  12. You’re more likely to be attacked by multiple opponents carrying weapons! Oh well, life was good while it lasted! 😁

  13. Any self defence is good defence, if nothing else, it gets your mind working on awareness – i spent may years training(not anymore) and it still surprises me when I have honest conversations with people with zero training – most have no thoughts on movement or peripheral vision, or even scenarios which involve thinking 2 to 3 moves ahead of whats happening – as you say…just training your mind to observe the situation is something – you don't have to be bruce lee…just don't wear blinkers – i always appreciate your realism.

  14. Fight Science guy, most of what you say is true, but can you please dedicate a video to the ultimate art of winning any confrontation with a single armed or unarmed attacker, or multiple attackers? Once you´re trained to the t for all eventualities you start to understand that the best thing you can teach your pupils is how to recognize and avoid violence before it takes place.
So train like a warrior but evolve as a diplomat and always, always show humility and deference to any assailant who is threatening to attack you, especially when it is the foreman of a group: Your drunken or drugged or insecure macho wannabe gang leader alpha male. If you have a history of street fights with violent endings you will probably by the age of 50 not be proud of it but rather have the most regrets about the ones you actually decisively won, about the damage that you inflicted on other humans most probably over nothing, that you could have avoided if you had only had better social skills at the time.
I was once a boxer, bouncer, a street fighter whenever i thought it mattered (in retrospect it never really did) and i have hurt people in that type of combat many times. Looking back, it´s about ego 99 out of 100 times.
So maybe the best combat lessons are not these that teach us how to fend of multiple unarmed attackers, but rather to learn how to stop or at least avoid the violence once it starts manifesting. My two most proud fighting moments ever were:
    1.) none.

    2.) none.

  15. Situational awareness is helpful, but if someone intends to harm you at any cost you are probably going to get hurt. The world is a dangerous place, if someone is attacking you, use the palm of your hand to push their nose into their brain and then walk away calmly.

  16. OH AND ONE MORE THING MR. FIGHT SCIENCE!!! IN THIS VIDEO YOU EDITED OUT ALL THE ATTACKS THAT YOU WERE SHOWING FOR EXAMPLES! THE GAS STATION ATTACK, YOU STOPPED THE VIDEO RIGHT BEFORE THE ATTACK! THE GUY PUMPING GAS, MIGHT HAVE TAKEN THE GAS HOSE OUT OF HIS CAR WHEN THOSE GUYS CAME AT HIM, AND SPRAYED THEM WITH GASOLINE!??? WE DONT KNOW.. BECAUSE YOU STOPPED ALL OF THOSE VIDEOS OF THE ATTACKS! NOT VERY FIGHT SCIENCEY OF YOU!! YOU BRING UP EXAMPLES AND TRY TO PROVE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BY SHOWING VIDEOS OF THOSE ATTACKS, BUT THEN NEVER PLAY THE FULL VIDEO FOR US TO SEE THE FULL ATTACK????? AND IN ANOTHER PART OF THIS VIDEO, THAT WAS ALSO STOPPED AT THE POINT OF SEEING THE TRUTH! YOU ARE IN A GYM WORKING ON DEFENDING YOURSELF AGAINST 8 OR MORE ATTACKERS AT THE SAME TIME???? LOL… ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY THOUGH, THAT THE REALITY OF THAT ATTACK? IN REAL LIFE IF THAT WERE TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE WITHOUT A GUN??? THAT PERSON WOULD BE INSTANTLY TACKLED AND BROUGHT TO THE GROUND AND SEVERELY HURT!!!!! THERE IS NO WAY ONE PERSON IS GOING TO DEFEND AGAINST A GROUP OF MEN OR WOMEN FOR THAT MATTER, COMING STRAIGHT AT THEM FROM ALL SIDES!! UNLESS!!!!! THAT PERSON HAS A GLOCK HANDGUN AT THE LEAST, WITH 17 ROUND 9mm MAGAZINE IN THE GUN ( WHICH IS A STANDARD MAGAZINE IN THE GLOCK 45 ) OR? IF THEY HAD A GLOCK 21 45 CALIBER HANDGUN WITH A 13 ROUND CAPACITY MAGAZINE ( WHICH IS THE STOCK MAGAZINE FOR THE GLOCK 21 ) AFTER THE PERSON HIT ONE OR TWO OF THE ATTACKERS WITH A 45 CALIBER ROUND UP THAT CLOSE? THE REST OF THOSE ANIMALS WOULD HAVE SEEN THE 5 INCH HOLE IN THE GUYS THAT GOT SHOT? AND WOULD HAVE WOKE UP REAL FAST AND RAN AWAY FROM THE VICTIM AS SOON AS THEY COULD! THAT! IS HOW YOU DEAL WITH A GROUP ATTACK.. SO PLEASE STOP MAKING UNREALISTIC SELF DEFENSE VIDEOS! BECAUSE I AM SURE YOU ARE GOING TO GET ALOT OF PEOPLE HURT, IF THEY EVER FIND THEMSELVES IN ANY OF THE SITUATIONS YOU POST IN YOUR VIDEOS! : /

  17. I'm a fan of concise videos, but several of these points could've used a bit more explanation.

  18. Very good tactical analysis of so called " self defense " situations. But in my opinion you just barely mentioned the most important one. And it also is multi – faceted. That means it involves more than simple " situational awareness." It's spiritual awareness of my relationship with my creator – god. If that particular attitude is right . . . then all other physical elements will fall into place no matter how difficult the temptation or offense may appear to be. Example ???? David and Goliath is a classic. I'm not saying faith alone will solve the problem. Bible says FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD. So if you expect to be in harm's way . . . the wise thing is to (A) Avoid it if possible. Or (B) Train hard to meet it. The bible says WHATEVER YOUR HAND FINDS TO DO, DO IT WITH YOUR MIGHT.

  19. The thing that makes me sceptical is where you're doing the 6v1 training. 0.1% of people are going to win a 6v1. You're going to be running and that's your best bet, 6 coordinated attackers are just going to be getting you to the ground and stomping you as quick as possible. Realistically you're not going to be ducking under their grabs etc. I have been in a 3 v 1 fight before, when I was young and training every day. The reason I came out of it was because other people noticed and stepped in. You're right, you use your environment and in my case I shielded the initial cheap shot( a wide swinging right) and then grabbed the initial attacker in a Thai clinch and threw them against a brick wall knocking them out, the other 2 were taken aback by how brutal that was and gave time for people to step in. That leads me to my point, if you've got multiple attacker's and you're fearing for your life you run. If you can't run prepare to attack as brutally as possible , the reason you run is because if you're going to take on multiple people prepare to fight in a manner that will likely kill someone or at least seriously injure them. You're not guaranteed that you won't be held legally responsible for that. Best bet is legs.

  20. I was surrounded by 5 fellas one morning whilst cleaning, I saw a gap and ran like stink, still effects me a couple years down the line.
