Flooding of cities is also possible in developed areas with easily flooded or absent storm sewer systems. Landslides are possible in hilly or mountainous areas, especially where the soil is saturated with heavy rainfall. Disruptions to power and telecommunications services are possible if significant flooding, strong winds or landslides affect utility networks.
