About This Episode:
Hear about my next travel destination and win my old camera. These are the main things that are happening here in this video.

About Sonny Side:
I’m not sponsored. I’m not rich. I’m just some guy who wanted to make the type of travel videos that I would want to see. This show is completely self-funded so thanks for patiently watching that five second advertisement (and read below how you can support this channel).

I am a video director by trade. Each time I travel to a new country I bring a cameraman with me, usually a friend, to shoot as many episodes as possible in a short amount of time (usually a week). The rest of the time I’m working as a video director/videographer in Vietnam and editing the crap out of these videos.

Much love and remember, Don’t Think, Just Chew.

I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting and strange foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly MY point of view, but is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. I really want to try Lechon in Cebu at somebody's home, not some restaurant. I wanna go through the whole process of making it. Can anyone help with this?? 🙂 Of course I'd pay for the piggy.

  2. GO TO BICOL WHICH IS REGION 5 OF THE PHILIPPINES BRO, THEIR SPECIALTY ARE SPICY CUISINE FOODS. TRUST ME YOU WOULD LOVE IT, THEY'RE DELICIOUS. AND YOU WOULD LOVE THE VIEW, IT'S MAJESTIC AND ALSO YOU WOULD SEE THE TALLEST VOLCANO IN THE PHILIPPINES, WHICH IS MAYON VOLCANO.

  3. you can eat papaitan, Anthony Bourdain loves it, bopis also, okoy or caramba (squash pancake) , kare-kare , pinaupong manok , sinampalukang native na manok , dinakdakan (almost like sisig) , lechong paksiw, relyenong bangus , tinapa (smoked fish) …then there is a putok batok mami in marilao bulacan, and another mami in pampanga where they put cow's brain in as toppings…

  4. You should visit the Northern part of Luzon, Ifugao and Ilocos. Try the Etag, Pinikpikan,Bagnet,Boro and many more Ilocano Dish

  5. In Baguio the Ifugaos have a ritualistic way of cooking chicken called Pinikpikan, they beat up a chicken with a stick, burn the feathers off and boil it with ginger and other spices. Not the most pleasant way of doing it but definitely out of the ordinary.

  6. was gonna comment about filipino pride but i dont want to disregard sonny's effort and talent for the show. cheers!

  7. make sure you try out tamilok in Palawan, though that's something that Andrew Zimmerman would have on his show…

  8. If you have time to swing by, try Sisig and all sorts of delicious food in Pampanga, the Culinary Capital of the Philippines much love for your quality videos ,Sonny Godspeed.

  9. I hope you already tried the normal food. like Bagnet, and some home cooking food like sinigang, pasta like Pancit malabon, or pancit Palabok, or some other viands like kare-kare. With fishes you can try kinilaw and it's soo good too. Well not really exotic kind of food but still worth a try. Aside from the adobo you can try the simple tapsilog. 😉

  10. Ox Tail Kare Kare is the best!!!
Green Mango and Bagoong – if you're a filipino you grew up with this
Sinigang with Salmon head – head gives very good flavor

(you must collaborate with Will Dasovich, your energies go together like fried sisig and vinegar)

  11. I'll be coming back home(philippines) this coming june and i really do hope i could meet you in person Wahhhh….People like you who makes dope video plus a very entertaining joyful video vlog deserve tons of credits since the effort is superb. And I hope that who ever wins your camera must really worth it as it was a very valuable item and meaningful to a person like you.

  12. Hey Sonny! You are funny and I love watching your videos. I watch youtube videos all the time, but I never cared to create an account or subscribe or comment. However, I had to take the extra effort to figure out how to do all of that to support you. Keep making funny videos about different countries' foods. Maybe try a new country that hasn't been reviewed, instead of the Philippines again. (PS thanks for not making fake faces to say the food tastes soooooo good like some other youtube channel reviewers do. you know who I'm talking about.) One day when I get to travel, maybe I will run into you. Until then, I will travel vicariously through your videos. 🙂

  13. I think you should have a collab with bogart the explorer(PaperbugTV) for me he is one of the funniest youtubers here in the philippines. and here's some pinoy foods you should try.
    1.kinilaw
    2.chicharon
    3.puto dinuguan
4.some of the silogs(tapsilog, beef pares)
5.pancit cabagan(san jose del monte, bulacan)
    6.bicol express
    7.laing(bicol area)
    8.lambanog(quezon province)
    9. stay away from dog meat. It is prohibited here to eat that.

  14. Let me know if you want to try durian ice cream or if you want to sample or check out a vegan restaurant here in Quezon City. Good luck to your travels. You can also try the numerous food parks in the city.

  15. Cebu and Palawan! Very good choices. For Palawan I recommend the El Nido Beach and Coron and for Cebu try the Virgin Islands!

  16. My husband and I could def use the camera!! We are in the market for one for document our Evangelism across the world. We are starting in the US but should be abroad within a year Lord Willing. My husband accepted his calling to Evangelism a few years back & he and I have been open air preaching and witnessing to people everywhere we go. We would use the camera to film testimonials of supernatural hearings that occur and just our journey as you. We are relying on God to help us fund us along the way as you have and it would also make an awesome anniversary gift! Our one year is on April 24,2017! I love your videos and had to slow down because I watched so many a few weeks ago before bed that I had a dream that me and you were hanging out in a restaurant or something lolol

  17. why wont you go on mindanao theres so many good places here tho not that much unique food since its all the same as in manila and cebu, but maybe the food from lake sebu, south cotabato by b'laan tribe might differ 🙂 so yeah 🙂 hope you go mindanao <3
