Lynn Arches-Rappaport had a near-death experience after a surfing accident when she was 20. During her NDE, she was greeted by God, Jesus, her late father, and a mysterious shadowy being. She was given the knowledge that she had chosen her parents before birth. Lynn also had a life review where she learned the importance of forgiveness. Finally, she was delivered a message to share with the world: I AM THAT I AM.
One of the things that really stood out to me from this interview with Lynn was the visions she had of global events. She mentions seeing a herd of animals fleeing a fire and people in poverty. These visions have influenced the humanitarian work that Lynn has dedicated herself to since her NDE.

What a confusing explanation of soul and spirit 🥴
I loved Catholic School for the education. The nuns were fabulous teachers. But the religious indocration , especially grade school was truly horrific.

I enjoy listening to NDE experiences and appreciate those that have the courage to share. I have had an experience while fully aware back in 1981. I had a light envelop me while I was in bed attempting to get to sleep. I felt an incredible love that I have never felt ever. I understood this love would never reject or leave me regardless of what I chose or did not choose in this lifetime. I felt a freedom to just live without fear. Also, outside of this experience, I have witnessed that we are not just influenced by our home or immediate surroundings, the level of Soul age we are, the more incarnations the older the Soul or less incarnations a younger Soul, also influences our beliefs, judgements, fear level…etc.
Manifesting always seemed to come naturally to everyone except me. I tried so many different methods, but nothing ever really clicked. Then I took Vera Hart’s archetype quiz, and my result explained a lot. It finally gave me an approach that felt personal instead of generic. Worth a try if you’re struggling with the same thing ❤️

1. What is Clinical Death?
• Definition: The temporary cessation of heart function and breathing, resulting in a total loss of blood circulation.
• Reversibility: Unlike biological death (which is permanent tissue destruction), clinical death is a reversible state if medical intervention occurs within a critical 4-to-6-minute window.
• Cellular Survival: Because cells die at different rates, parts of the body—including brain tissue—remain metabolically alive for minutes to hours after the heart stops, living off remaining localized oxygen reserves.
2. The Neurobiological Origin of NDEs
Rather than a literal transition to an afterlife, NDEs are vivid hallucinations generated by a dying brain undergoing a complex, chaotic shutdown process.
• The "Tunnel of Light": Caused by oxygen deprivation (ischemia) in the visual cortex, which makes peripheral vision fail first, narrowing the visual field into a central point of light.
• Out-of-Body Sensation: Caused by a neurological glitch in the temporoparietal junction (TPJ)—the brain region responsible for mapping your body's physical boundaries in space.
• Peace and Euphoria: Triggered by a massive survival surge of endorphins, dopamine, and neurochemicals meant to mitigate extreme trauma.
• Hyper-Vivid Realism: Caused by a sudden, paradoxical burst of highly synchronized gamma brain waves right after cardiac arrest, creating electrical connectivity higher than normal waking consciousness.
3. Cultural Evidence Against a Literal Afterlife
The content of an NDE is highly subjective and culture-bound, proving that it is an internal perception rather than a journey to an objective external realm:
• Western/Christian Experiences: Individuals frequently report seeing Jesus, Mary, or traditional angels.
• Hindu Experiences: Individuals often report meeting Yamaraja (the Hindu god of death) or his messengers, who read from a ledger of life deeds.
• Japanese Experiences: Individuals rarely see tunnels; they instead report seeing traditional peaceful landscapes, flower gardens, or the Sanzu River.
• Secular/Atheist Experiences: Individuals typically do not see religious deities, instead reporting generic wise guides, loving presences, or deceased relatives.
Conclusion
When the brain's spatial and sensory systems fail, the conscious mind tries to make sense of the void. It uses its subconscious hard drive to "fill in the blanks," relying on deeply ingrained memories, symbols, and religious beliefs to translate a universal physical shutdown into a highly personalized, subjective experience.

She "thinks". She doesn't know. It's her opinion. I think this video is total BS. We have a temporary body. Let's call it a loaner. And contained within that body is a consciousness field. The real us. And that body anchors our consciousness field to this 3-D matrix.

This story happened in her brain and was obviously registered by it, otherwise she couldn't remember it now. So she was not dead during the experience. Somehow her brain was working. The experience simply proves that her subconscious emerged, not that afterlife exists, which is a self-interested interpretation.
I’m still not sure what I think about Vera Hart’s archetype quiz. Some parts felt obvious and other parts were strangely specific. I’m making my friend do it now too.

Nice experience but I must say she got a lot of stuff wrong. Just because someone has an NDE doesn't make them a mystic. She's wrong about soul and spirit. Her experience is her own but so is her philosophy. She wasn't given any answers, so everything is her own assumptions. You can't give spiritual advice just because you had a personal experience strictly about yourself.
As Popeye would always say…. I am what I am and I'm all that I am.
