Dog Fights 12-Foot Alligator For Her Puppies

Dog Fights 12-Foot Alligator For Her Puppies
Spread The Viralist

Security cameras caught the moment a Florida mama dog planted herself between her puppies and a 12-foot alligator that slipped under a gate near a junkyard. She could have run. She didn’t fight until the gator backed off and help arrived. At the vet, critical and in terrible pain, she wouldn’t calm down, crying and lifting her head, searching. Then they brought her puppies into the surgery room. The second she saw them, she relaxed.

  1. The short says "She didn't fight until the gator backed off and help arrived." That is possibly the most non-sensical sentence I have read recently. If she didn't fight, why did the gator back off? If she didn't fight, what was she doing until the gator backed off? If she didn't fight, why didn't the gator just waddle over and eat the pups? As written, the sentence indicates that after the gator departed, and after help arrived, she did fight. So who did she fight, and why? And who sent help? Was the gate "near a junkyard" or was it the junkyard gate?
Aside from the wretchedly inept writing, the majority of cases in which alligators grab dogs occur very near the water, where the gator can quickly drag the victim into the water. Gators are not usually land predators, and they don't usually immediately eat their victims – they prefer to stash the carcass in the water, under roots or in a little cave, etc, until it softens up a bit. I'm sure a gator in a junkyard could kill one or more puppies, but the whole story sounds just a bit too improbable to me. Where did this happen? Can the creator please cite a credible source?
