I wonder what would happen there to SCPs like 343 which are human sympathetic but impossible to destroy.
The UNGOC should have unironically beat the breaks off the foundation, its confirmed they have far better funding and are supposedly very well prepared to dispatch a very large amount of hypothetical scenarios, including cognitohazards, memetics, and extremely powerful beings.
I get that they kinda get a reputation as "chair destroyers", but they unironically match, if not outmatch anything the foundation is capable of

'IT' is SCP-2718, a phenomenon where the human consciousness remains trapped in the body after death, permanently feeling the excruciating pain of decomposition.
it ensures that human consciousness survives death specifically so it can continue to harvest the "disgusting" suffering of billions of decaying souls forever. The O5 Council and Ethics Committee decided that a quick death and the subsequent "omnicide" to starve the Entity of its food source was a more merciful fate than allowing every human to eventually enter an eternity of permanent, unceasing agony.
Unless the article was updated after you made this, the big thing the foundation was shooting was just a zombified demigod, and what they were trying to wipe out was the entity that feeds off of the pain that you keep feeling after death, they were trying to starve it so that people wouldnt be tortured for infinity after death or something.
