Welcome to Kankinara, North 24 Pgs , West Bengal where one of the oldest and most famous laddu makers has been preparing delicious sweets for over 50 years.
Every day, the work starts as early as 5:00 AM. Skilled workers begin preparing fresh laddus in large quantities, continuing the process till around 12 noon. These laddus are not only popular locally but are also supplied to many places like Siliguri, Assam, and other regions.
The laddus are widely used in sweet shops and temples, making them an important part of celebrations and daily offerings.
Laddu Making Process:
First, the बेसन (gram flour) batter is prepared carefully. Then small बूंदी (tiny droplets) are fried in large hot oil pans (kadai) until golden. After that, these are soaked in sugar syrup to absorb sweetness. Once ready, the mixture is hand-shaped into round laddus and arranged in trays for supply.
This traditional process, followed for decades, ensures authentic taste and quality.
