Scarface is the Queen of the Beasts in Nakuru National Park, but she has a chequered past. In her youth she was one of Kenya’s Big Bad Cats – a killer of sheep and cattle. She could have been shot but she had luck on her side. Ten years previously, Nakuru was turned into a rhino sanctuary where prey animals were abundant and stock killing lions could be relocated instead of being the target of a bullet.
