Have you ever wondered why we don’t ride zebras?
While we can ride horses, mules and even donkeys.
Zebras are just weirder than everybody else.
Some of you might say,
“But I’ve seen one just being ridden in your intro?”
Yes, that’s true.
But being trained is different from being domesticated.
Zebras have natural immunity to trypanosomiasis,
a disease fatal to horses.
So, when the Europeans came to colonize Africa
they wanted to domesticate them.
But there’s just one mistake.
They didn’t bother asking the natives why
they did not domesticate the animal?
For thousands of years zebras have been preyed
upon by lions and leopards.
And they survived!
Although the chances are rare there are reports of zebras
killing large male lions.
As they say, horses kick out of reflex.
While zebras kick with intent to kill.

They also don't have a pack hierarchy, horse packs have a eader and a second in command, they have a hierarchy which zebras do not.
I really wish that the Africans would have done the same thing the Brazilians did to the Europeans when they came to colonize that land. Decapitated their asses & sent them freaking packing.
They look too bendy and weak to hold a human's weight.
Many years ago while I was watching a nature show on the Discovery Channel or National Geographic Explorer, there were a crew of filmmakers in the African continent walking alongside a river.
They came upon the rotting corpse of a crocodile that had been beached on the banks. The reptile’s head had been caved it, and this crew concluded that a zebra did that.
They said it was obvious that the zebra was attempting to cross that river, and when the crocodile went after it, the zebra’s hooves came down onto the croc’s head, killing it instantly.
Zebras are still nothing to a Lion. It's the buffalo 💯.
Leopards don't hunt zebras.
The reason why we don’t ride zebras is because they are wild animals 😂. But not only that, but because most people are too big for them. An equine can only comfortably carry 20% of their body weight meaning that even DONKEYS shouldn’t be ridden unless by a child.
Africans didn't bother training theme because we already knew they couldn't be domesticated. We had already domesticated a bunch of other animals, including elephants, but not these ones.
There's a reason Africans fought wars to acquire and train horses from the north as opposed to using Zebras, and we would have just told Europeans had they asked 🤷🏾♂️

Horses are herd animals with a clear leader. Zebras stay together for protection, but has no bonds to each other like horses do.
