4. Had a Standard named Sam. Jet black and the most beautiful silky/soft/curly coat. So sweet. So smart. He was such a good boy eventualy his name became Good Sam.

19. Hey, poodles are best for any dog owners. Don't have to be first time to own a poodle for first time.

20. We have 3 and our 4th is moving in next month. They are as close to hving child that there is. We know as we raised 7 children and have 6 grandchildren.
    We love and adore them. Plus they love being on youtube too!

26. I lost my black 15 year old toy on 11 of Dec 2024, he was my shadow, wonderful best friend and I believe he thought he was a boy not dog, Zeus even had favourite movies. Poodles are wonderful companions but are high maintenance as they need very regular grooming.

29. they have severe seperation aniety most of the time and heres a tip for clueless poodle owners (got this from the seller) if ur poodles fur looking more like chihuahuas and not that curly just have their fur and it will grow back curly

31. My poodle bites and barks. Suppose to be standard but it's only 30 lbs at 13 months old. How can I get her to stop biting and jumping up while walking her and barking in car. Trainer at a week of puppy school said she has genetic problems.

34. My aunt has a very shy toy poodle. Whenever she comes home from work her poodle will always freak out in excitement. I myself want a poodle when I’m older.

35. Low maintenance? They need tons of exercise & have to be brushed daily to keep their hair from matting, & they have to be groomed often. They're also super smart, so they need their minds to be occupied to keep them from getting into mischief. They're not low maintenance!

37. Take it from me I've had 6 poodles. And yes, they are great dogs with the sweetest personalities. They'll absolutely melt your heart. However, because of their high intellect they'll demand from you a great level of attention. If you can't give them that they tend to get depressed and even morose. Plus they often times have neurotic dispositions that can lead to very troubling behaviour issues. I currently have one of my dogs on gabapentin and it doesn't seem to even help all that much… So just know that this video only showcases their finer qualities. Believe me they come with a big price tag too. I'm just putting it out there for those who are thinking about getting one. And I say go for it, they really are great. But do your homework and buy from a reputable breeder if that is what you choose.
