my sister told me about a how she and a 16 year old girl who was with her boyfriend at the time the couple thought it was a great idea to hide in the cradle like formation on the oak tree trunk the girl had braces and the lightning stuck the girl in the head my sister watched in horror (being the wise one staying away from the tree) she said she literally was a vegetable no life left at all soon after the girl died and the boyfriend was mortified he watched her die right in front of his eyes the boyfriend tells stories how the lightning traveled through the girlfriend and by now most of the initial energy dissipated but had gone through her into his foot he couldn't walk for a couple days
