Inside the Wellness Festival for Millionaires | Fringes

Spread The Viralist

‘A-Fest’ is an annual super-elite, invite-only festival that promises to radically change your life. Run by MindValley, this is distilled, silicon valley alt-wellness marketed to millionaires and aspirational millionaires across the globe. The man behind the whole business is Vishen Lakhiani. He progressed from selling meditation CDs online to owning a $40 million company with thousands of loyal followers around the world.

Although normally over $3000, VICE’s Sydney Lima has been gifted a golden ticket to the event to discover whether she can become less negative and pathetic, setting herself up for a future of spiritual and business success.

  1. Hustlers selling "hope" to the naive. For men, it's success, money and good looks. For what? For women, of course.
For women, it's money and the best way to get it. For what? So they'll never have to work for a living.
    It's all that simple.

  2. What I enjoyed the most about this documentary is that not only Sydney kept her journalistic integrity and a healthy dose of detachment, but she managed to capture many facets of a tricky industry without judgement. That's wisdom and no festival can teach you that.

  3. Narcissifest! Helping wealthy people feel good about themselves (a little more). So much douchery going on there, you gotta be kidding me. Thanks for the laughs!

  4. Buddha will be a CEO like WTF, he was never a King but he will be a CEO, and why so much hate against Coca Cola but not against expensively organized fun parties that are not for everyone!!

  5. the guests and speakers seem to me like a bunch of pretentious and confused nincompoops. The narrator is cool, i've seen her at at Envision festival and she is pretty funny and takes the piss out of everything and does not take herself too seriously which i appreciate.

  6. Wellness industry is yet another scam. People don’t realize that its like a movie -It feels good while it lasts. Please dont waste hard earned money.

  7. Corparate and spiritual growth is a farce, do yourself a favor and get your ass kicked by DMT for a fraction of the price and you'll figure out the some dots without some dickhead trying to get rich of it.

  8. The way he described what a modern day Buddha would be like is a gross misunderstanding of Buddhism and the Buddha nature. Saying he would have money and power and be a CEO or would strive for those things is so far removed from buddhism..Gautama was born a royal, he was a great prince who would inherit a great kingdom but he gave all that away and took up the life of a commoner and ascetic ridding himself of the material and desire in order to achieve enlightenment. The man who started A Fest is perhaps one of the biggest spiritual con artists in the world and I feel sorry for the poor fools who have fell for his lies when they just want happiness and connection but instead are being fed nonsense drivel by a narcissist and having their pockets shook out

  9. "went from selling meditation CD's online"…….You know full well that it's people like these who are truly incredible in finding niches and marketing avenues again and again that your hard earned money did not know it needed to orgasm into. Seriously. They hit spots people needed to spend money on where we would wonder "what happened?" when their Gurus disappeared. Crypto.

  10. Righteous anger..I love it ..the 7 hermetic principals someone studied.. careful of this guy ..nice lady ,…ones like this guy Always come in like a knight on a white horse solutions for everyone…but he smells like a narcissist to me…the only authentic man was that delightful little man who said basically the power is in your hands

  11. Hahahaha 😂 yeeh I felt the same when I went to a free breathwork class all that screaming..all that energetic garbage they were letting go..felt like I was absorbing 🧽 it ..got panic attack too..oh the joys of being a empath
