Basically U should try 4 kinds of food
1. Myanmar traditional food (eg, chicken curry, lamb curry something like that). I recommend u to try at Da Nu Phyu Daw Saw Ye at HELDAN, Kamayut township. Another one called Aung thu kha but i forgot location.
2. Shan traditional food (eg, Shan noodle, it has 2 kinds , normal noodle, sticky noodle and also it can be mixed with tofu, u can order shan tofu noodle. Don't forget to eat with kimchi like salad and fried tofu. 😀 There are also other shan traditional foods. You can find shan noodles everywhere but i recommend u to try at 47 street , Nan Htike Shan noodle shop.
3. Chinese style and mixed food . The one u must try is Kyay Oo which is pork or chicken noodle soup at YKKO. YKKO branch can be found at heldan, Myat Ni gone, yan kin. Chinese restaurant U should go is 8 Mile golden duck restaurant and Western park restaurant at alone township. That two might cost u a bit.
4. You can also try street food at China town. I recommend you to try Pork sticks (which is various parts of pork is served with stick)my favorite…there are many many small shops u might be interested. I hope my advice can help u a bit while u travel to Myanmar
Congratulations. I cannot think of anyone better for this job. You deserve this.
