This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it’s best extent. I’ll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
Mechwarrior Online is a competitive first person shooter where you build and pilot massive Mechs and prove yourself on the battlefield. The game is based on the Battletech franchise, which originally was a science fiction tabletop game in the 80s. Big part of the game is configuring your loadout and find the best match of missile, ballistic and energy weapons for your playstyle. The weapon variety ranges from devastating autocannons over particle projectors to deadly arrays of laser beams. On the battlefield your team of 12 Mechwarriors fight the enemies on rather small arena-type maps. Teamwork is crucial here because a single Mech does not survive long if it steps in front a full firing line. Communication and teamwork is key on your journey to glory and victory.

To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open “Game” and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

@Baradul Hello! With the current event going on, and the free Hero mech of your choice, do you have a recommendation of some unique Hero mechs? I tend to play medium/heavy mechs, almost exclusively IS mechs. I'm wanting to pick something that is unique that other variants don't have. Or very cool quirks that really make the mech stand out. Do you have any recommendations?
I’ve bumped into several of these builds so far. They are brutal. So we try to focus them down as quickly as possible.

I only know this Mech as a Worthog, i only knew the Ebon Jaguar as the "Cauldron born" before.
Can someone explain to me, why these mechs all have so many different names? 😅
Just tried the flea with 8 ballistic hardpoints and magshots, and worked really nice. Also the Crael with 7 Light AC2 managed to do 900+ damage.
I'm soooooooo glad I was able to snag one of these. First drop with this build I got 3 kills and like 760 damage. Amazing little dogfighter

Tried 6 APGs on a MLynx, even saw a Piranha with a bunch of them, both squishy but playable.
The problem currently is, that players haven't got the muscle memory to react properly when hit by APGs. I caught myself ignoring first 3 hits as harmless LB2X hits, until my back was open and torso structure red.
I have a feeling the gauss weapons they introduced will get some nerfs in the next patch. 😀

Most of the weapons are Garbage. You can still out produce the a p's with machine guns in damage.

This is honestly one of the most P2W builds we've ever had. There are some NASTY non premium versions too, but this is definitely the best option by a long shot.
the light mech apocalypse has begun. these guns are way to op the cauldren will tell you they have less dps then a heavy mg and that may be true but these guns dont require the face time and have more range

Got in a fight with one of these in my Kodiak… and lost. They told me there were 2 more of them I didn't see. Still didn't feel good.
In that first game are you watching where your shot goes? Once you pull the trigger there's nothing else you can do.

That ain't a Warthog!!! Damn, Piranha get it right! Real Warthog from the game addon for M4 is totally a beast tank and killer. This is a light mech of dubious usefulness.
I'm going to have to try that build!
