During a 24 hour race at Zhuzhou International Karting Circuit, Jiang Hao, would be bumped from behind, causing him to swing left at high speeds, he swerved right, only to hit a pole at very high speeds, he sustained serious head injuries in the wreck, the marshalls stood by uncaringly and the ambulance took several minutes to arrive, due to heavy equipment in the way, unfortunately all the hospitals were full due to COVID, the driver tragically died the 25th.

I’m not convinced the initial impact killed him. It looks like when the vehicle stopped, his head snapped back and smacked the pavement, and the whiplash broke his neck. Maybe a C-2 fracture.

Absolutely pitiful track design, scary to see this happen as another 206 racer – hopefully they push for better track safety there this could've been avoided had they THOUGHT of the DRIVERS!!

This is absolutely infuriating. A concrete pole at the exit of a corner, congratulations, these track owners are murderers. And no padding will ever make it "safer". I'm just lost for words.

Track design was really bad that beam should of been removed entirely and theres no run off grass or sand to slow down in case of crash. Even with just no beam and 5-10 meters of runoff he would of walked away from that crash. As someone whos driven karts for 10 years i know the risks envolved but that could of been avoided with better track design and tire walls. Sad to see this kind of stuff happen😥
Stupid negligence of the track design and safety team. A toddler would be able to tell you how dangerous that pole/perpendicular barrier was.
