These mudslides are not new, they have always happened. The big difference is that neighborhoods were built in the hazard zones, and now you are seeing the result.
When strong water tanks collected enough rain water, they are heavy enough to form as barriers
to block mudslide and stabilize top soil which, of course, still need proper French drain channel structures
to secure the landscape.
