I'm a local to the area in this video and have heard about this incident but never actually saw the news or figured out what exactly happened. This is very informative and saddening.
One con about the video that comes super annoying is how often he uses escalating lines like "you'd never guess really how awful it truly was" or "but nobody would have guessed how bad it really could be"
The narration is really informative and helpful but it could do without all that.

I loved how the police officers handled all the situations, and how amazing they all did at their jobs. These police officers did so well with the children as well, and the support and love they all provided to the children when they were found was amazing.

Just because you're old doesn't mean your brain is dead. The parents claiming their son took charge is true in the sense they decided to follow his orders. They should be charged fully as accessories in the kidnapping and child abuse case. Fully. They knew who their son was. No one involved perceived the children as human beings who deserved respect the same way adults would — including the police.
Police these days should be smart enough to have at least 1 woman with them when they're searching for children. These guys didn't assess the immediate situation well enough to understand what the girls were saying about not having appropriate clothes, nor did they identify themselves adequately to the kids. Should have realized the girls would have been told not to trust the police. Why are police so dense? At least the cop who kept going back to the truck was kind to them.

Children need to be protected at all costs. We need to protect them and help them as if they are our own.
When your religious beliefs require you to set aside critical thinking and common sense, bad things happen.
They should all be charged to the absolute maximum.
This is nothing short of horrifying.
None of these “adults” belong loose to make simple decisions in this world. How many more are out there destroying lives? All in the name of their religion.
