We are definitely witnessing end days' type disasters around the world, including financial' collapse. Nothing to be afraid of for those who believe in God and life after death. Jesus (of Nazareth is the Son of that great Divine' spirit some call God), Jesus led the way, opened the door to the knowledge of eternal life. Good hearts is what they're looking for.
In the days of Noah, (see the Jewish Torah and the Old Testament of the Bible for details), corruption and homosexuality (those homo's who are arrogantly defying the natural order of things, which clearly doesn't apply to all homosexuals etc ..peace up!) and depravity and lawlessness was at a record high and "God", our creator, regretted making mankind.
The great flood wiped out all of mankind except Noah and his family but, then one of Noah's son's got Noah drunk and raped him, raped his own father.
Imagine how God felt. "Mankind is even more stupid than we thought", so the bond or promise was made that the earth would never be flooded again. However…. mankind, we have orchestrated the demise of the earth all be our selfish and arrogant selves.
All hope is not lost. Before things get too bad, the last trumpet will sound out and those of us who have good hearts and believe in a loving Creator, and Jesus the first Son, our spirits will collectively fly

Those who are still here after that, including the Jews who missed the first appearance of the Messiah, in the form of Jesus, from the shit hole that was Nazereth, will get another opportunity to be saved, when Jesus, now the Christ, (which simply means he is glorified spirit in human form) , returns as King and rules for a thousand years.
