4. I love when people say there's been so many of these new super Mario Bros games as far as the 2D side-scrolling there's only been four up to wonder. There was one on the Wii One on the DS One on the 3DS one on the Wii u and then they ported that one over to the switch so technically there's been five and that's it people are so over dramatic about those games they were just love letters going back to the original Nintendo that's all. I love Zelda but I'll take Mario over Zelda any day sorry

19. I personally will say that my favorite games of the year so far have been Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Stars, probably the only games I played this year that you know came out this year. oh and Palia, but that's in a different corner.

22. I actually am enjoying my time with Detective Pikachu! Played it for almost 4 hours last night (after playing for 4-5 hours the other night)! I think it's fun! But I also really like detective games, so! lol. Hope you feel better, Wood! Great vid, as always!

26. Lies of P is so atmospheric and beautifully rendered. I love the steam-punk Victorian vibe and architecture. The sound design and soundtrack is stunning as well. It takes the best elements of souls-like games and combines them for a challenging, immersive and unforgettable experience. I am very pleased to see it was nominated for 2 game awards (though it deserves even more IMO) and that it's sold so well they're already planning a sequel. It was such a surprise delight in a year of fantastic games that rivals the best gaming years of all time. It's definitely the most memorable game I've played this year.
