  1. Had to get Narcan to a newborn once as mom got IV pain meds just before delivery. This was way back when Narcan was on the neonate resuscitation protocol.

  2. The cost of narcotics and opioids on society is just staggering. Truly shameful. Think of the billions in taxpayer money used every year to address all these overdoses and related self-inflicted illnesses. And then tack on the costs of treatment centers. And then add in all the costs of dealing with alcohol. America sure is great…

  3. I love the genuine compassion and non judgmental attitudes that these paramedics have towards junkies and people who have just lost their way. Here in Massachusetts I accidentally overdosed on heart medication, trying to get a condition under control, and they treated me like trash. I wasn't violent or thrashing about or throwing up either.
Just great staff not in it for the money♡

  4. man the medical field is INSANE back then if you where sick in the mid century that was it for you now if you flatline? oh heres a device that can hopefully get you back from the dead like…thats crazy man

  5. Back in high school I did a first responder course and the fire department thought us CPR. They challenged us kids to perform on a mannequin as long as we could. I was among the ones who lasted longer and my arms and upper body were DONE. It's great that now devices can give better CPR and also help medical personnel on focusing on other stuff

  6. I am astounded by the technology EMS workers use to help people, especially with that machine they used on the first fellow! Im going to technical college to be an EMT, I'm kind of nervous.
