I’m completely invested! This dystopian teen flick has so many political layers and themes as well as a compelling love story that I can help but be excited for the next film. Enjoy 🙂

  1. I've always liked to watch other people reacting to my favorite saga, and you've just reached the top of my favorites for being so attentive to details. Great video!
A big hug from Brazil 😊🇧🇷

  2. That salute is the funeral salute in District 12, a form of saying goodbye. when she was reaped thats why the whole district saluted her, and she did the salute after Rue's funeral

  3. This was a great reaction!
You were spot on with your observation about how Katniss honours Rue after she dies: The way she makes friendships across districts us very important, as part if the Capitols reasons for the games is to keep the districts hating each other: there will always be someone from another district who killed someones daughter/ sister /brother / friend etc… But Katniss befriended Rue, protected her, and mourned her death. In the book, district 11 (Rues district) had saved up to sponsor her some bread, and after she died, they sent the bread to Katniss instead. Never before had a district given a gift to a tribute from another district. So that is another act of rebellion on her part. To show the districts that they can befriend eachother.

Can't wait to see your reactions to the next ones!

  4. Wow….of all the reactiors I've watched for this movie, you really got it! First movie showed the mechanics of this dystopian world (Panem – North America) and the games but also the microcosm of the character's struggle.
You would really benefit from reading the books.

  5. In the books the wolf mutt things that went after Cato,Katniss and Peeta were actually the dead tributes bodies turned into these Mutt creatures I wish they had kept it in the movie it would’ve made for a much more shocking scene that would’ve meant a lot more

  6. new to your channel & i got so excited when you mentioned pride and prejudice!! i thought maybe you had watched it on your channel but i don’t see it😭 still, loved the video

  7. Wow, you are the first reactor who caught why Haymitch is the way he is. I think you will enjoy the books too! This is the book adaptation that have done very well and books give you even more details.

  8. The children in poorer Districts aren’t able to train their whole life to prepare for the chance they will be one of the chosen Tributes…. Because they are poor. So how can you pay to learn the necessary skills, when you can barely afford bread to survive? Only the rich central Districts have Career Tributes, and that in itself has its own twisted elements to it. Kids raised to kill, with the plan in their head that they will volunteer no matter what, for the glory of their District? Also vile.

  9. 7:42 To Effie’s bubbly enthusiasm: Stop being fake! Admit this sucks!

To Haymitch saying this sucks: Hey!! What an ass! Their lives are at stake!

    😂😂

  10. The district that rebelled was district 11, where Rue and Thresh were from. Despite 12 being a poorer district than 11, life in 11 was moderately worse because of the strong peacekeeper presence, making beatings and whippings commonplace. The peacekeepers in 12 are more lax and some of them even purchase Katniss's illegally obtained meats.
