Rhino VS Elephant

When a trio of elephants approaches this rhino and her calf, one of the elephants pushes the rhino aside. The calf is not harmed, but his presence irritates the elephant. The elephant even tries to hit the rhino with a fallen branch, but the rhino remains calm and firm. A man slams his truck in the background to scare the elephants away, and it works. It seems like the young elephant in this video wants to have a little fun with the rhinos. He mingles and taunts them, but I don‘t sense any signs of aggression. I could be wrong because the rhinos seem intimidated and run away, even though this elephant is still young. This elephant casually pretends to be out for a walk in the bush, but it slams into the rhino’s backside, almost knocking it out. The rhino responds by swiping back. The elephant continues to slam into the rhino and if it topples the rhino, he may kneel on her, crushing ribs and vital organs.

Because of the rhino’s body shape, it has a lower center of gravity and good balance, making it difficult for the elephant to roll her over. The rhino is faster and manages to flee. The rhino in this video is ready for anything when he sees an elephant herd walk right by him. The herd isn’t interested in engaging, so, if the rhino minds his business, nothing will happen to him. Elephants introduced to the Pilanesberg reserve in 1979 were almost always culling orphans. The younger bulls were behaving terribly, intimidating females, and attempting to force them to mate since they lacked larger role models to show them the ropes. As a result of their actions, the juvenile elephants became violent and attacked rhinos and multiple tourist vehicles, killing 40 rhinos, and injuring one human. The rhino is protecting her calf from the giant elephant in this standoff between a rhino and an elephant. I doubt anything will happen while the two pugilists stand motionless. The big elephant is surprisingly calm, probably due to the presence of the rhino calf.

Lion VS Tiger

In a fight with a lion, an animal trainer who has dealt with both lions and tigers asserts that tigers will nearly always win and will prove to be the stronger fighter. A tiger is bigger than a lion in size and most experts would prefer a Siberian or Bengal tiger over an African lion, but the lion in this video proves these experts wrong because it’s obvious that the lion is the new sheriff in town and that he’s running this joint. The following footage is from a 1933 film in which a tiger and lion fight. This appears to be the unedited version, but I’m not sure how accurate it is. I’m surprised to see tigers and lions in the same enclosure at so many zoos. Seriously, how do these folks obtain employment as zookeepers?

Tigers and lions do not share the same geographical areas on the world map, so their meeting naturally, unless one of them takes a high-speed train, is quite unlikely. However, there are many controlled environments where they have met in the past and will continue to do so. You get an idea of what it looks like in this video. These two don’t seem to get along and decide to have a go at it and the fight lasts a few rounds. The lion looks furious and seems to be telling the tiger to buzz off the ladies. It was later rumored that the tiger had asked one of the female lions out on a date and when the male lion found out, he blew a fuse. I’m not sure who thought it was a good idea to put tigers in the same enclosure as these lions, but a fight ensues, and it appears to be quite even until the tiger gets fed up and runs away, but the lion runs after him to make sure the tiger understands to stay away.
