  1. Worth mentioning at Indianapolis that year 9 of the 10 teams agreed to a chicane placed by the last corner, which would lower speeds enough to make the Michelin tyres work (it was due to the way Indianapolis Motor Speedway was resurfaced that year, which Bridgestone got to experience earlier with the Indy 500 through their Firestone subsidiary and come up with a solution). Only team who didn't agree to that plan? Ferrari, who ran Bridgestone tyres and wanted a competitive advantage of essentially a "free win". Which they got, and is one of the reasons why I dislike Ferrari. Formula 1 was getting more popular in the US at that point, but making a farce out of the US Grand Prix at the largest venue in the world for racing (nearly 500k can fit at IMA if you include everywhere) easily set F1 back in the US.

  2. It wasnt a light failure the owner did that o purpose due to teams cheating after teams figured out that lights started after a signal and used the signal to send a beep to the pilot before by 100ms so they reacted perfectly and got a rocket start so he did that to find the cheating teams

  3. This is the only video on the official F1 Channel i have ever seen to mention the 2005 us gp. I hope they gave attention to it. I see that gp as a "classic" of it's own kind, perfect example of the political side of F1. Unique race that no one wants to witness again.

  4. The one with jumping the start, teams figured out the lights were turned out with a radio signal. So some teams found a way for their driver to hear the signal as it was broadcast, giving them a few hundredths of a second warning, allowing them to start faster. The FIA in a plan to catch out the cheating teams broadcast the signal but didn’t change the lights, this made all the cheating teams jump the start. Genius on both sides.

  5. That 5 car jump start wasn't a issue with the starting lights F1 channel!! You know it was where they stalled it on purpose to find out which teams had a illegal link to the starting timings!!! Why lie and say it was a mistake?!!! Haha people reading this, Google it, as was well documented. F1 clearly ignoring their own investigation 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  6. Driver61 Youtube Channel, Start Light Failure, 3 teams caught red handed cheating finding the signal that triggered the Greens. Awesome detail on what those 3 teams did and the fines levied on the teams and the FIA Archives show suspended points deductions for the drivers involved.

  7. Where's the 1981 Belgian Grand Prix? It's starting line chaos ended with one mechanic hospitalized, two teammates crashing, near crashes at the end of lap 1, and the field stopping without orders at the end of lap 2.

  8. It's dumb how little the FIA wants to accept responsibility for nearly ruining F1's legitimacy in the eyes of Americans.

You want to sanction people for bringing the sport into disrepute you'd better give yourself a pretty fat fine for that nonsense.
