Wildlife photographer Brad Josephs managed to capture footage of a lifetime as he recorded two ferocious bears going at each other for almost 10 minutes.

The video filmed in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska, shows swiping and biting at each other whilst balancing on their hind legs.

Intimidating roars can be heard as the wrestling match for dominance climaxes.

Josephs told Newsflare: “Two giant male Alaska brown bears battle for mating season dominance on the coast of Alaska.

“The newcomer steals meadow dominance from the original male.”

This video was filmed in June 2022.

  1. Both these Grizz were basically exactly the same size. Hence why it went on for so long. The older one eith more experience one though. But he isn't too old yet as to get taken out by the prime younger one.

  2. These bears were pissed off at something totally ignoring the people.

They had to smell the people, but they blew them off to claim male dominance instead.

  3. This commentary is annoying as hell. STFU and let them fight. Stop talking about how you are going to be world famous. Non-stop talking while recording this. Sometimes you need to know when to STFU. This is one of those times.

  4. And the comments from wrestlers and martial arts demonstrate why we humans dominate the planet.
Observing the animals weak spots and instinctive behaviour.
Whereas we can sit around the campfire and chew the experience over. Go out next day and kill both of them with simple spears. Well we have rotating shoulders and that's all it takes to bypass evolution and turn up with 8ft claws and 32 arms.

  5. Of all the nature shows and docs I've watched over a lifetime – and that is A LOT – this is hands down the best footage of two bears battling I have ever seen. Right place right time.
