Everyone got what they deserved
If you ask me…i would say …why waste time on finding and rescuing such stupid people who even after being told to get out stay there thinking they will survive ….and i hate such stupid people who are so much pathetic. Why should someone feel bad for idiots like these …like this woman who was giving stupid reasons to why she didn't left home even after being given clear warning to immediately evacuate….such fools deserve to die and need no condolences….i mean how can you even feel bad for someone who if has children in home and a clear warning to immediately evacuate is given but you don't because you are so much stupid….then these people afterwards say help government help us this that…why should anyone help such stupid people. I would not give a damn about such idiots. And most importantly this is the gift you get when you destroy nature and think you would live happily forever….there is nothing good to be call yourself DEVELOPMENT nation citizens when you mind is absolutely undeveloped and needs a lesson for lifetime…..so its a fact majority of developed nations like usa u.k and many western nations are only developed in terms of infrastructure while a country real developed scale is how much sensible and good minded having knowledge people are which these so called developed have zero by native people count ….i don't think they even know countries like USA or u.k are only on top till Indians Japanese and many asian countries people are there working for them the day they left it would be game over .

Fact : they failed to mention how many were killed from the school and area . They only said half the children .. here are the stats :
116 children and 28 adults died from the Pantglas Junior School and a row of houses.

The trouble we face is only brought on ourselves. By this i mean we are all taught in school how erosion of coastlines are caused by our need for more. More land more people and more of everything. It is in our DNA to do so. Another problem we face is how much money can our governments make on a construction deal. Governments are corrupt. If a construction company pays the government off, here in lies the biggest problem. In developing countries there is not enough money to go round to keep the nation afloat, yet in developed countries there is more than enough money to go round. Its ok to have plans in action when needed but the thing is life is expendable. there is more than enough people to keep the work force going. The loss of life seen in this well put together documentary is heart breaking, it truly is. but the only one who feels the pain for the loss of life is the people who lost family members and who knows how many families were completely lost, disappeared forever whipped of the face of the earth. It saddens me to see so many people gone the numbers from a few to thousands gone. the governments don't care about the loss of life they don't care that they approved the construction whilst taking a backhander from the construction to go ahead on unsafe ground. this happens all over the world and you don't have to be a college professor or and engineer to see that this ground is unsafe. It may go in the next five minutes or it could happen a hundred years from now. its not a mater of why but rather the mater when. If we stop building houses at the rate we are doing now there will be more deaths in the not too distant future. I grew up in the UK, i have seen a lot of things in my life in 1966 when that tragedy happened in Aberfan i was still a baby i never knew that happened until recently and i have lived in Canada now for over 35 years. If people in higher positions would listen to the workers more and acting on it, those children had never needed to loose their lives, along with almost a whole generation of a town lost forever. Too many times the people in higher position in companies including Governments are at the root cause of the problem. You have to think with your head on things like this. Building on unsafe ground and allowing families with children live in those building how can you sleep at night knowing that they could all die if that unsafe ground could give away any time is beyond my comprehension. Too many times tragedy strikes as a result of wrong decisions are maid at the cost of so much needless loss of life. Stop building on hill sides and mountain side, stop building on unsafe grounds that way mother nature can tend to her gardens in peace. stop taking down forests these forests have kept their hill sides and mountain side in check for thousands of year. then along comes humans and cuts down all the trees to make building on Unsafe ground waiting for disaster to strike. If you are aware of the dangers, don't build there. Or you are as much to blame for the disaster as if you did it yourself. Things like this are going to continue happening when you have corrupt officials taking back handed deals and people with not much in life have no where else to go they will live where they have to. I remember going to Black gang chimes on the isle of wright, (Pronounced white) when i was at school it is a lovely place where they had a pirate theme in the park, there were rides to go on, mazes to the treasure and all sorts of things fun for us kids to do. One of the parks tours took us to about 20 ft away from the edge of a eroded coastline. A large landslide happen a few years before so there was a lot of soil in the canyon below us. the sea wasn't even close to the shore where the park used to be. Years later after i left school i heard that black gang chimes had applied to move the entire park further in land as the current land was in danger of ending up in the canyon i had seen years before. it was a long and arduous business of doing so but the finally moved just in time as the following year the rest of the top of the hill was now at the bottom of the hill, only a few older rides that couldn't be moved are left there abandoned now so everything i remember about that theme part is gone the maze the rides the crooked house all gone now. landslides or what ever you want to title them are dangerous and finding out the land under your feet could disappear in an instant is very unnerving to say the least. So Don't be afraid to ask, why build there near hillside, when there is still tons of flat land fifteen miles away. question the idiots above your pay grade why are you doing things like this when it makes more sense to do that. the problem with people in power positions is they forget to think like a rational brain, and when back hander are made they tend to take the money and run. some people should never be put in a position of power. it is big mistakes that cost lives.

Oso slide was not caused by the lumber industry. Slides there were happening 100's of years before this.
Land greedy developers are mostly to blame especially in British Columbia Canada in areas on mountain sides where in the sixties, the areas were annual lightning started forest fire areas that we would witness as kids, and no loss except for missing trees!

Creosote comes from burned plants, right? These dry seasons, prolonged drought, fire and then flooding seem to be a cycle. If so, is there no other way to do things, and then changing this cycle? I thought I'd ask!
