  1. The Pudle is not a french breed. It's not a german breed either. It was one of two breeds Charlemagne used as hunting dogs, the other one being the dachshound. And as everybody knows, Charlemagne was neither french nor german but belonged to the ancestor of both people: the Germanians. He was a "Franke" which is the root of the "France" in France but spoke no french because it didn't exist yet. What he spoke was "Althochdeutsch", which is the direct ancestor of modern German. That makes him more of a German (which pisses the French off wildly whenever the subject comes up).

  2. You forgot about the Great Parranese. Those are very tall and strong. Mine weights 140pds n close to 6 feet on her back legs. My St Bernard is 170+ also same size. Love them soooo much
