  1. Nobody on the right is saying that boycotts are "totally different" from cancelations. It is the exact same thing in principle, it's just different in concept. Whereas cancelling was complaining incessantly and mindlessly on twitter until you get your way, boycott is actually making a conscious effort to not participate with your dollars. Hence the difference.
What I see is right wingers gloating over warning the left since 2014 (remember Gamergate?) this would happen. And now the people who used to say "your free speech has consequences", "they're a private platform. They associate with who they want" are whining and crying over their chickens coming home to roost.
All the right wingers and sensible leftists I follow have basically given up trying to talk things out with the far-left and the corporate woke cult. Now the people who actually showed up and supported woke garbage because they didn't care about politics or didn't want to be called an "ist" or "phobe" have had enough. And it seems to be working. Out of the blue a lot of companies decided to cancel pride shit. Even the dude who invented ESG, the sole reason this bullshit is getting pushed, has said he regrets it.

I'm one of those who has been saying it would come to this since Gamergate. But some people, you just can't reach. That would be the far left who have no tact of politics and just want to get their way all the time with no concessions. Either the cult gets the message this time or there could be something much, much worse than a boycott or even "fiery, but peaceful protests".

  2. Honestly, my only gripe with this review is that I feel like this either should have been made back when YT was less anal about language or maybe just cut off the curses instead. The running gag with Chaplin coming in with alternative words was funny at first, but it quickly overstayed its welcome.

  3. ''Hey, this guy used to be fun until he decided to politicize his sheet, maybe after 5 years he changed, let's see how he is doing….oh, he lasted only 8 minutes, oh well, back into the obscurity bin with him I guess''
Btw, yes, Boycott IS different from Cancel. Boycott means I have $10, and I decide not to spend it on something I dislike AND/OR openly dislikes me. Cancel means deciding how other people's $10 should be spent OR ELSE they will face consequences, asking for people to be fired, involving family members and friends into their shaming, have them removed from platforms, etc. Pretty big difference. You're welcome. This channel was cool pre-2017

  4. There is a pretty big difference between cancelling and boycotting actually.
Cancelling is making false allegations about Vic Mignogna simply because you don't like him and having him not just fired, but also making it so nobody else will hire him when in actuality he did absolutely nothing wrong.

Boycotting is deciding not to shop at Target anymore because they hired a Satanist to make tuck friendly clothing for TODDLERS.

The difference here is a small few were able to ruin an innocent man's life by running his name through the mud, while Target is able to keep existing. Target still has stores open and is still free to sell their garbage. It's just the vast majority if common every day people have made the decision not to bring their money there. If that hurts Target in any way then it's only because the vast majority of people are sickened by what they did and chose to speak with their wallets.

  5. The fact the movie still holds up almost 30 years later shows how incredibly funny and smart South Park was. Back then it was just foul mouthed kids and random humor, but now its gotten to be such a smarter comedy that even the random humor today still works.

  6. my sister went to see south park bigger longer and uncut when she was little i just love it for all the in jokes maybe they could make a sequel but i cant be right all the time its a prediction of itself

  7. boycott; product is still available, but people refuse to buy it
cancelation; product is taken off the market and will not be seen or heard from…
    yeah totally the same thing

  8. If you think movies like Life Aquatic are "snoozefests" because they don't have punchlines in every scene, then maaaaaybe you're not the targeted audience and are possibly missing out on key qualities that don't appeal to you .

  9. I don’t think this movie dragged on at all. Yes it was t too consistent but that’s the point. Most South Park episodes aren’t bits hard with this animation but I think it blended its story telling songs profanity and typical show moments fairly well. Not much too forgettable about this honestly.

  10. If you really don't see a difference between cancelling Gina Carano for not toeing the party line and simply choosing this beer over THAT beer, then critical thinking is not the Nostalgia Critic's strong suit.

  11. Yeah so when are we getting the re-release of the South Park movie but with chaplain saying all the words politically correctly and totally not raunchy?

  12. I was in 5th grade when South Park was just coming out, this was before the movie, me and my parents went to Panama City Beach for a "family vacation" Just so happened to be spring break, i was wearing a south park shirt that said kick ass while I got on the elevator coming back from the pool, these two hot high-school girls got on the elevator with me and liked my shirt. The thought it was cool that a 5th grader was wearing a south park shirt that had a cuss word on it. I was pissing my self, but got of on their floor instead of my parents floor, they committed more than a few crimes with me while my parents searched the city looking for me. I kept that shirt for years for what it did for me, and told my parents i was lost all night, and if those two girls are out there, thanks for a hell of a good spring break.😝

  13. 8:16 But boycott is different from canceling though. With boycotting It's still allowing somebody to say whatever speech they want even if they don't agree with it, but at the same time holding them accountable by not by not buying their goods or services. With canceling It's completely censoring somebody's freedom of speech. And either way, it's not the media doing this it's major corporations who should be politically neutral. It's not exactly a situation we're both sides are wrong it's more or less one side.
