  1. I was at that rave, what you’re talking about right at the end, camber Sands weekender in the chalets That was an absolute top top laugh🎉❤

  2. Being a doorman is hard work , everyone thinks its just being a meathead chucking people out , but you have to think be diplomatic and also think about your own personal safety great interview.

  3. Mate this is the best podcast yet! this guy is the real deal, and not one of his stories did he gloat or
Or act the Hardman super humble and the stories were believable like I was there we need a part 2 too many guys doing the UK podcast circuit mate keep bringing guys like Marcus.

  4. Great podcast 💯, really enjoyed it, brought back some club/pub memories. As being a Gravesend, Kent lad we had a bad reputation going into clubs etc, especially around Maidstone-Strawberry Moons, Gillingham – Amadeus, Dartford areas, we had to say we was from a little quaint village named Cobham, the posh part of Gravesend lol.

Hope to catch up with you one day Marcus, as also living in Indonesia, but float to Thailand regularly for a good time. All the best, its nice to be nice x

  5. This Man saved My life!!!

    We met in Amsterdam.
    (Approx 95/96 ish)

I made a "very risky joke" concerning His necklace.

Based upon, stories happening in Amsterdam.
People got attacked very often, for any shiny objects.
    (Hate that!)

So I asked, You are not scared to get nicked/robbed off Yr necklace!?

    Why I made this joke!?

Pfff I would never ever consider to approach Him in a wrong mindset.

The answer , sort of relaxing !

    Nooo not Me !

    Big smile , ehm , Ok !!!

As a former same age Dutch doorman,
Teamed up with several World Champions in Kick Boxing/Muay Thai , I knew My limits!!!

Had My situations,stand-offs,fights,escapes, knowing no one is untouchable.

As a Doorman , You work, You care, You prevent, You have to be carefull, and there is no room for "error" !!
It is soo important, to be gentle, friendly, and have something in store( Otherwise You do not last very long )

I have seen the changes over the decades , and One needs to be sharper and sharper.

And at the same time a social worker.

Caring about the legal matters even under attack !!

Forgive Me My English if any mistakes language wise.
I have never ever met a Friend like Marcus !
Reaching out to help Me to recover from a very insane deadly attack.
Not by just listening, also inviting Me to be present at an Anthony Robbins event in London.

That couple off days changed a lot.

I needed EMDR to recover fm PTSS even later on , but his gesture was the start of My healing.

We go back approx over . 20 years.

I have so much respect for Him !!!!

    Cheers
    Rene

  6. I can only second what everyone else has said. What a top draw interview. Marcus is defo worth a part 2 if you can get him back. Fair play for letting the conversation flow

  7. He’s 60?!! Jheeez!!!

You still wouldn’t want to have a row with him.

When you’re young, you think 60’s is really old.

😊However, the older you get, the more you realise age is just a number for many people!

  8. Doormen or "Bouncers" these days are mostly juiced up dickheads. Where I'm from I know bouncers who don't ID any lasses. (I know a 14 year old who walked straight in 3 nightclubs (just to prove the point that they dont get ID) Especially the good looking ones, every single lad will get ID regardless. Takes a special type of prick to be a bouncer these days. Bring back proper 90s bouncers ASAP
