  1. I can't believe these divers didn't understand the problem the differential pressure was going to cause. Surely there must have been a procedure that wasn't followed? And the rescue team could have done a rescue procedure that would have included (1) putting plugs in at both ends of the pipeline (2) welding two or more sealed ports in the pipeline (3) installing valves on those ports and at same time drilling holes in the pipeline at those valve/ports, 4) pumping pressurized breathable air into at least one of the opened sealed valves and (5) finally opening at least one of the sealed valves to force water out of the pipe. We used to install valves on pressurized steam pipes. It wasn't hard. The rescue team must have been incompetent.

  2. ⚠️they didnt find it safe to rescue them. But it was safe enough to GO GET THE BODYS AFTER they died.

One day: save us. Help us

Four days later: yeah, lets go get the bodies now

  3. Christopher you did all you could from start to finish ❤️‍🩹 I can’t believe how these men were treated. Inexcusable to not attempt to save their life’s. Sending love from Ireland, I hope some sort of justice will be served!

  4. As a open water scuba diver, I have a personal rule to stay away from ALL underwater pipes, no matter what they’re for. It can’t be anything good or anything I have any business going near, that’s for damn sure.

  5. I'm from and live in Trinidad and Tobago and as soon as I saw the title and thumbnail I knew what the story was going to be. The company isn't trying to resolve the situation or even apologize, they are trying to cover up their negligence. Thanks for covering this story MrBallen.

  6. I am totally claustrophobic. Just hearing this story has got my pulse racing.
    Thanks #mrballen

The fear that those poor guys endured before they died is just horrific. I really feel sorry for the Families & friends, of the victims who were just left to die.

I hope the Families sued the arse off of the companies who refused to rescue.
I don't know why the people who refused to rescue the victims weren't charged with manslaughter for enabling the death of four people when they could've been at least attempting a rescue.

I hope the people responsible for not rescuing the men are haunted every night, when they turn their light out to go to sleep, by the constant terrified screaming & banging by the trapped men, cos I am bloody certain that's what the victims loved ones would be haunted by.

  7. Corporations don't care. They just DON'T care. And it's disgusting. I know it's risky to send divers to rescue other trapped divers, but that's not why they didn't do it. I hope the company falls off the face of the earth from being sued by the families. I mean even if they're only looking at things from a money perspective, wouldn't it be cheaper to try to rescue living people than to have to pay all the benefits and lawsuits and everything to the families of perished employees? Seriously it's so ridiculous.

  8. I keep wondering how the men in the pipe were thinking about all the possible ways they were going to get freed. Just waiting for hours and thinking about their families. Just knowing in their hearts that they would do everything they could to help them and no one ever came. Plus, I'm extremely claustrophobic and this just made me breathe in a little deeper. I'm just so heartbroken for them.

  9. Good lord that is truly horrifying. And the worst part is that no one will truly be held accountable for this. Companies like this always get away with their bullshit. I really hope I'm wrong though

  10. How awfully tragic. I can't imagine begin to imagine what they suffered. This company should be held completely accountable for not trying to save the four other divers. May those divers be resting in peace.

  11. This is so sad that those people were still alive for days and NOT EVEN ONE VERY PROFESSIONAL DIVER IN THE COMPANY OR THE NEAREST COUNTRIES COULD HELP, NOBODY COULD DO ANYTHING FOR DAYS?? 😮 smh* This is very disappointing knowing that there are a lot of professional people in their field but nobody wants to use their profession to do what they're good at when they're needed the most! especially saving the lives of four humans that obviously could have chances to live if anyone was brave enough or if the company/Government cared enough!

  12. I finally found your YouTube channel I’m so excited I love your videos so much there my favourite thing in the world I use to listen to them alot

  13. It’s always “do this to the like button.” Never “how is the like button coping with this level of abuse?” 😅😂😂😂

  14. That company and the coast guard are despicable. That’s just awful. They simply had to go in. Christopher made it through with no prep or supplies. In my mind, they murdered those 4 men

  15. Survivors quilt. Christopher did all he physically could. I’m glad he lived. I don’t know why oxygen couldn’t have been piped inside the pipe, and perhaps some light. Prob was attempted. Why not drain the ship tank tht the oil ran too, and then push air through the line, equalizing the pressure. Using psychological support, perhaps through a loud speaker, or walkie talkie to aid in calming them and assuring them. Why not send down several lines of air, at least it would have given them a chance, and they prob did try to save them but just didn’t have the resources or time. Sad. Sad. Horrible. And to think tht Fizel, had a little oxygen with him, he may have been the last to die. But once Fizel, became paralyzed with fear, and refused to go further, the last 3 were doomed regardless. I’m claustrophobic so I get tht incredible fear, esp in pitch black. Heck I get anxiety just thinking of what they went through. I just pray the oxygen got low as the cO2 was rising and they just went to sleep. I hope it was easier for them, than their loved ones who have to live with the memory of such a tragedy. God rest their souls.

  16. Seems like property damage is more of a thing than 4 lives at stake. I feel so disgusted hearing that it’s too dangerous to save’em. 😢

  17. This is beyond horrifying. Those poor men. Tragic that they refused to rescue them, clearly they were trying to limit financial liability incase the rescuers died as well. It reminded me of the tragic stories of Pearl Harbour and the sunken boats. And poor Christopher who had to live with the guilt and pain of knowing what his friends endured but couldn't help them. Bless him.
