  1. i dont understand why movies make speech so low these days …. and even the music is as loud, so what is it, the words matter or the music?

  2. I think what sets Charlie apart from the character of Elvis, is the emotional impact he had on the audience in the cinema. Don't get me wrong, Austin Butler did a great job of showing the man behind d the superstar, however Brendan fraser managed to play a fictional character with such grand emotion and humanity that he made us rethink our lives and how we interact with our closest relatives. I don't think that there will be a film that will ever come close to the emotion I felt for The Whale ever

  3. This Movie is definitely worth watching.
The emotion it envoke is so raw, and so deep.
People will argue on the interpretation of many parts of the movie, I think it is not a thing to be argued.
Different person will have different life experience, they will have different value on aspect of life and will interpret the movie differently.
I definitely going to watch this movie for the 2nd and 3rd time.

  4. After seeing this movie, I've definitely noticed that, more often, I'm telling people how great they are. This is a really, really good movie for the soul.

  5. I literally cry just THINKING about the movie, is something wrong with me?
Something about Brenda's gets me extremely emotional. I'm not usually an emotional person

  6. Brandon Fraser deserves a lot of awards for this film along with Sadie Sink and Hong Chau, most especially Hung Chau. I saw the play on YouTube and it's a completely different albeit beautiful rendition. Everyone brought their A game to this project.

  7. He wants so badly to believe that she's a good person, but in reality she's not, she's horrible, and he's just trying to justify his death by thinking that it's okay to leave now because she's a good person.

  8. If he can’t win SAG, which can rise his Oscar win chances, it will be utterly heartbreaking. Brendan Fraser is absolutely outstanding in The Whale and am so glad for all his nominations and really deserves the Oscar but following the BAFTA lose, I am a bit scared but if he can win SAG, he may get a higher chance to win the Oscar. Even if he loses SAG, he will always be an Oscar nominee because this film and all the love he receives for his performance and himself in general will never stop. Amazing man and performance

  9. I will try to explain what this film did to me for the rest of my life but I will never be able to. A lot of times I get caught up in sentimental bullshit and I'm like "this changed me!" But The Whale really made me a different person. It isn't just empty sentiment. I have seen every Aronofsky film, I have seen Requiem for a Dream at least a dozen times. It was one of the first films I became completely obsessed with. Brendan, you fucking rock dude.

  10. Seems like Brendan Fraser has done an impeecable job at portraying the role of a father showing his own flaws. We can all appreciate the fact that it takes forgiveness to set things right with your children.

  11. I really liked this film more than the mixed reviews, it’s very uncomfortable but thanks to Fraser’s performance, it’s definitely one of a kind!
