Good Samaritan Rescues Dog on Freeway

Good Samaritan Rescues Dog on Freeway
Spread The Viralist

A runaway dog raced in and out of traffic on a Los Angeles freeway. Drivers were stunned as they desperately tried to save the pooch. Amber Streid, a cardiac nurse, could not believe what she was witnessing. She opened her car door and the dog jumped right inside her vehicle. Streid later returned the runaway puppy to the owners. Turns out, the dog ended up on the freeway after running away the day the family was preparing to move out of their house.

  1. My dog ended missing from my yard one day after my other dog knocked the fence down but he was home and she wasn’t … I was frantic to find her after posting lost signs all over my street and under car windshield wipers that same night as well posting on lost pets on Craigslist I found her intake picture at the local humane society that night at 10pm. I picked her up the next day and something was off with her breathing … I ended up getting numerous calls the next day by some really good folks stating she had in fact been hit by a car them picked up and delivered to the shelter. The shelter didn’t mention any of that. I took her to the vet she had bruised lungs and a little road rash on feet and legs. She made a full recovery but I am glad and so very thankful that people stoped to help her and made sure I new what had transpired.

  2. They were moving and freed him bc they just wanted to leave him behind and get rid of him. Nice that they gave him back. Very good. 👏👏👏👏👏😠

  3. I rescued my dog as he was stumbling onto I-95 in s. Florida traffic…it was nothing short of a miracle he survived that traffic till we got to him (we named him Chester and he was a wonderful dog that we had the pleasure of loving for several years).

  4. My dog freckles escaped the yard the day we I was moving. I was running through the ghetto crying and searching for her. She was 16 at the time and mostly deaf. She was in the neighbors yard trying to eat their cat food.

  7. I did the same thing for a little dog on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. Guy behind me slowed the traffic down and when I opened the door the dog jumped in while I was still rolling. My 5 year old daughter was impressed. We brought it to a shelter 10 minutes later.

  8. Irresponsible owners. How does a dog get from their house to the freeway??
I have never had a dog run away from us and I've had 13 dogs in my life.
There's usually a reason an animal run away from a home, and there's quite a few intuitive pet owners on this comment thread I can tell, because they were thinking the same thing. 🐾🐾
