7. You guys rock! As a mom to a rescued former LSG Great Pyrenees, who spent her entire life outdoors, I can attest that they acclimate instantly to being indoors and loving it! My girl came from Oklahoma to Chicago when we adopted her and she loves the winter, snow and finding every possible cold spot to plop down on in the house even though we keep it at 60°F year round. She’s super smart, sweet and so very silly and she can somehow determine that when a UPS/FedEx truck stops that if the package is for us or one of the neighbors because she comes to an alert and gets huffy and starts barking at the door. She is spot on 100% of the time. What’s funny is that she should be happy because most of the time the packages aare for her! I figure one of these days she’ll put that together. LOL. Thank you for not giving up on this dog and saving its life. So often farmers will dump their LSG dogs off property intentionally when they’re no longer of use, or simply kill them. Very few farmers put them into rescue and I wish all of them would once they no longer need or want the dogs. I’m grateful that my dog’s previous owner did the right thing.

14. I never heard anyone giving their human kids the “humane euthanasia” when they break a bone. The reason for the “family” to want to kill this amazing dog so easily is called speciesism. Just because animals look different than us humans do as they please without any consideration. Be kind instead like these amazing humans. Let all animals live including the farmed ones. We are all animals. Animals are not here for us. They are not guards, workers or products.

15. How beautiful your hearts are! The owners did not know any better to try to preserve the dog’s life – since having the dog was only how useful and beneficial the dog could be to the owners. Good thing we don’t try to get rid of human beings for this reason. God bless your hearts and profession of caring for and loving the pets.

16. I've consulted to the Veterinary profession most of my professional life. I think of vets as "Earth's Angels". Anyone who devotes their life to caring for the most voiceless on earth on is an angel. I'm not saying that animals don't make sounds…..but they usually have little to no choice about how or if they get to live.

18. I love what everyone did but my question is why did they want the owners to surrender the dog? How come not give the surgery and return the dog back if you want to do a good deed. I know it’s expensive but you’re doing it already and idk it’s just me 😊
