  1. I’m surprised that he became my favorite character introduced in Ragnarok and my favorite Norse God. I love just how Baldur’s “blessed with invulnerability to all threats physical or magical” came at a price of not being able to feel literally anything Heimdalls foresight comes at a cost of seeing only the worst of people which makes him jaded and unable to trust anyone leading to being hated by everyone. He’s massively underrated as a legitimate threat because he doesn’t have titanic strength like Thor or Hercules but he doesn’t need it as his other abilities/skills more than make up for it. Aside from his power of foresight (which is the greatest form we’ve seen in the series), he’s the only enemy to have the ability to realm shift by altering time, his mastery of the Bifrost is rivaled only by Odin as both can create a Bifrost armor/covering and can use it offensively, his speed while not as fast as Hermes in my opinion is still superior to every other god, and his hand to hand skills as well as swordsmanship make excellent use of his foresight using swift strikes such as a sword tilt to the stomach to put his enemy on his knees before they can react. The only complaint I have is I would have preferred that he liked animals because he can see they have no ulterior motives and it would also serve as a way for him to be more as a rival to Atreus/Loki both of them being fond of animals for different reasons.

  2. Probably my least favorite character in the entire series and that includes Hermes. Heimdall doesn't look or feel like the Heimdall of Norse legend. He should be as big or bigger than Thor himself. Many artist renderings on the web can attest to that. THIS Heimdall looked and talked like a typical Game Stop clerk. Down to his boney undersized body. He looked nothing at all like his fellow Aesir peers which DID look more closely to Norse myth. At no point did I buy into this guy being a bully of any kind. He was literally half a foot taller than Atreus and was dwarfed by Kratos. The game and story seemed like a solid next step overall but it seems this rendition could have used more quality review in the writer's room and/or casting department.

  3. I feel like the developers had a different idea for how Heimdall was supposed to look between games given the early picture we see of him. The clean shaven appearance fits him better anyways, as a nice foil to Thor whose messy look shows how little he thinks of himself, Heimdall's lack of beard and short finely cut hair emphasizes how highly he thinks of himself with how much he has to put into his appearance.

While he doesn't look like much, when the initial fight starts, you notice "he doesn't have a life bar." This is a nice break from how forgettable most of the gods in the older games were, Heimdall is a supporting villain, but he's still nicely built up someone you can love to hate and enemy who has weight in the story since it takes a new weapon forged specifically to kill him to stand a chance, and even then it still takes some quick thinking on Kratos' part to use it right.

  4. Heimdall wasn't around long, but he's everything Hermes failed at being in GOW3.
Menacing,Annoying, threatening, spoiled and Cocky, entitled, and actually carried a very great amount of intimidation when they built up how Threatening this guy is.

  5. Honestly if heimdall had remained composed in phase 2 instead of letting his emotions get the better of him he might have been able to out do kratos by way of speed alone.

  6. When I first met Heimdall, I completely missed taking in the view and went straight for the elevator at first. I thought Heimdall being offended was only because I didn't even take a moment to look at the view of Asgard, looks like he's an asshole either way 💀
