Iroh’s final moments before he died in Avatar: The Last Airbender were told in The Legacy of The Fire Nation book.

Here is everything Iroh told Zuko:

00:00 Intro
02:33 A Gift For Zuko
03:44 Ancient History: Roku & Sozin
05:11 Sozin & Azulon
06:15 My Brother Ozai
07:33 Secrets of The White Lotus
07:55 Lu Tens Death
08:58 Travels With Zuko
09:22 Iroh’s Death / Road Ahead
09:48 Irohs Final Message / Death

This is sort of a remake of the video I previously did on Iroh’s Death. I felt like the last video did not cover as much as it should have.

  1. Thanks for the video. Loved Watching the Avatar back in the days and Iroh have always been my favorite character. Very sad that the original voice actor for Iroh died in real life. He had a very unique voice and calmness.

  2. In a way Iroh became the best equivalent of what type of father figure in Zuko's life he needed most and did what his own father Ozi could never do for him through teaching him to look inward and understand his destiny is in his hands and everything in his life he needed was what he saw in front of him. Often what we need most is who. Good people giving us good influences we need most.

  3. As a latín american, i think the fire nation shares a lot of similar similarities with the USA, and how Just as zuko, americans realize what they've done when they go abroad

  4. "Dear Uncle,

I tried to learn the nuances of the ancient game of Pai Sho from my friend Sokka. But every time I asked, he demanded a sword rematch, told me he was spending time with Suki, or claimed to be busy on tribe business.

I've had to confront the reality that Pai Sho just isn't my game.

I lived a wonderful life. I have left the Fire Nation to the care of my beautiful daughter, and to my grandchildren.

The time has come for me to join Mai on a last journey to the Spirit World to come reunite with you.

Thank you for all of the wonderful guidance and love you provided. I would not be the man I am today without your guidance.

I just wish your feet didn't smell so awful."

  5. This reminds me of the moment in the manga called Yona of the Dawn where she comes across journals/letters of her father and her cousin's mother which hold info like how they met their future partner, how they drifter apart from one another, how they knew the truth about certain person death etc…which after reading them changed Yona even more as a person but lucky for the better.

  6. So sad, but very realistic. As a mortal you won't live forever. Make a legacy that you and your loved ones will be proud of and they'll carry the torch for generations to come. I wonder how Zuko found Iroh after he passed. Was he at Iroh's bedside with all the family too as he prepared to transition? Very interesting tidbits that we'll hopefully get answers to before our time comes.
