  1. The Animal they are Showing at the Beginning is a Bobcat. Has Fur on the Back of their Ears that look like Eyes, Lynx don't have them. Canadian Lynx aren't Spotted like a Bobcat.

If there a lot of hares, lynx numbers rise. Than they kill and eat the surplus, exhaust it, than they lynx move on or starve. That drops the population of lynx, which allows the hare to recover its population, and the cycle begins again. They only take a larger animal like a deer if the rabbits are exhausted and they need to eat. The two species are intimately linked.
