In the last three years, there was no cyclone covering such a large area in Bangladesh. Sitrang will hit 19 districts, covering an area of 730 km with extreme strength. The wind speed of the cyclone will exceed 110 km per hour when it hits the coast. Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Patuakhali, Barguna Bhola, Pirojpur, Barisal, Jhalkathi, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Feni, Chandpur, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj and Shariatpur caused extensive destruction.When the devastating Sitrang strikes, the new moon may cause tidal surges of up to 10 feet. Sitrang will hit the coast of Bangladesh from Monday night to Tuesday evening.
