I use to live at least a 2 hour walk to town. I recall getting this funny feeling like I needed to look out the window. So I did and I saw a small black dog at the top of the hill and wondered whom it belonged to. Minutes later I was on my way to school and down the road, the dog had already made it pretty far on his own. Someone had dropped off a black poodle who would have never made it on his own much longer. He had already been sprayed by a skunk. We have coyotes, bear, cottonmouth & copperhead snakes. My grandmother actually owned a grooming business at the time so he let us pick him up and she cleaned him up. She put a notice out to see if anyone claimed him, but nothing. In the end, he was adopted into a loving home where he was given everything he could have hoped for by a lady who could not have children.
Nobody will ever know how much this touches my soul my family would all say why would you help that stupid animal they never understood that these beautiful creatures have a soul and are beautiful
