The moment heavy rain set off a deadly mudslide down a hill in the Brazilian city of Petropolis has been caught on camera.
As seen above, the footage shows how the landslide slipped down the hillside on Tuesday, with residents looking on in shock.
They stand by as a car and trees are being carried down a street by rapidly moving water and mud.
As much as 25.8 centimetres (10 inches) of rain fell within three hours, according to Rio de Janeiro state’s fire department.
The state government has confirmed 113 deaths so far.
But even as families prepared to bury their dead, it was unclear how many bodies remained trapped in the mud.
