Winter storm exits the Northeast, leaving behind bitter cold
The monster winter storm that dumped more than 1 foot of snow, as well as ice from Missouri to the Northeast, and freezing temperatures to Texas, is making its exit.
As the storm exists the Northeast, it leaves behind harsh, dry and bitter cold conditions Saturday, ranging from the northern Plains to New England, and into coastal Texas.
The worst of the cold blast is over and all cold weather advisories have been canceled, but the persistent winter chills will last all weekend for many.

The tornado continued and crossed CR-17 where it mowed down many pines and destroyed another mobile home while continuing to the northeast. The tornado then destroyed structures along CR-30 and Boone Road where a manufactured home was thrown across the road.

The day humans can affect weather and weather patterns will be the day that volcanoes and earthquakes cease to exist. Volcanoes in the past have created a "year without a summer," ice age, and cooling/heating of the earth's surface according to ash deposits in the atmosphere and gases produced during volcano activity. Earthquakes have changed the tilt of the Earth on it's axis creating changes in weather patterns and how much sunlight reaches different parts of the Earth's surface. The last Earth "wobble" created by a powerful Earthquake off the coast of Peru caused a change in the Earth's tilt, that change allowed more sunlight to hit the North Pole region and began a melt of the ice never experienced in modern history. Most countries have been reducing pollution of the atmosphere. That does not offset the countries that are doing nothing to reduce their pollution like China and India! I have lived long enough to see yellow skies disappear over the Cincinnati Ohio area due to scrubbers being installed on smokestacks of steel mills. That happened in the early 70s! We are the keepers of our own environment, but we will never out do the natural functions of our planet. That is why humans adapt!
