Some of these comments are horrible. It becomes much more difficult to advocate for the death penalty when you realize how many innocent people are sentenced to death. There's no second chance for them if you were wrong.

The death penalty should be for all repeated criminals, the world would be such a better place, and the death penalty needs to be much more harsh
Here if they don’t die the first time the firing squad just fires again, this is repeated until the condemned has been executed.
the death penalty should be exclusive for repeat rapists and child molestors, sadly they get quite minor sentences
the rest should just get life in prison.
if you are given lethal injection as a punishment and you survive it then you should technically be set free because you served your punishment

I think if an innocent is on a death row, if god thinks that the person is worthy to live and not face death, it requires him to just snap once
I think I’d definitely prefer the blade hung high over my neck with exceptional potential energy. Upon the release device and sufficient weight, quick and “painless”. Or… OD on something that feels good.

Why are these executions so elaborate? Just lower whoever is being executed down a fairly deep hole. Have some C4 ready to go down there and job done. Very quick, won’t fail and cheap. Put a drain at the bottom and they can just hose the hole out, ready to go for the next victim.

Honestly the guillotine is effective, and most likely the most effective. It's corrupt to make someone suffer during the execution, even accidentally.
Deathpenalty does nothing good, does not prevent severe crimes etc.
Just satisfies some sort of primitive revenge mentality!!!
