Seal Releases – Christmas Compilation

Seal Releases - Christmas Compilation
Spread The Viralist

The release part of a seal rescue is everybody’s favorite – it is the feel good moment when everything comes right for the animal. In our videos, once the animal is rescued and released, we try and keep the focus on the plastic entanglement by zooming back onto the piece of fishing line, rope, fishing net, hook, plastic bag, plastic packaging strap, clothing garment or Ziploc bag because we do not want the feel good part to become more important than the underlying plastic issue.
While Naude was down in isolation with a very mild case of Covid, he used his time to put together an edit of some of his favorite releases over the past year. It is our thank you to everybody for watching and sharing the videos, for creating awareness for plastic pollution and ocean rubbish, and for your incredible support for the past year. THANK YOU!

A special thank you goes to Lynn for suggesting this 🙂

  1. You guys are the absolute best! You bring a smile and gentle love with you every day. Thank you each and everyone for continued life saving efforts. We out here are on your side! Happy New Year!

  2. As with most mammals, they are especially cute when smol. I was a little worried about the one that followed you around, he looked especially frail. I hope he caught back up with his people and had a chance to grow up.
It was cool to see the whale again.
That must be one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, though not without fraught and peril.

  3. Thank you for all you do, and for reminding me of that incredible whale rescue. That video moved me to tears. You all are superheroes.

  4. The feeling you all feel in your hearts when you rescue these beautiful animals. I Love watching the releases. They really have to appreciate what you do for them in their own way. It's a shame that their environment has been polluted like it is. So much irresponsibly. But I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and blessed New Year. You guys are amazing. Keep those rescues coming Love 💕💕💕💕

  5. What a nice surprise! Thank you for this compilation!!
My favorite one was when Antoine had a pup running at him from behind and had no idea, and then he jumped away in surprise! 😂

  6. maybe you should carry some fish as treats for them just when they get released. They will "Inform" their friends in the ocean that the Humans are not too bad, they trap you to save you and then they give you a FISH !!! Specially for the once who like to hang around you guys and being thankful. They deserve some treat !!. Merry Christmas Guys. May you all be blessed for the good Karma. May 2022 see far less debris in the oceans, more life would thrive and there is only Happiness all around.
