Honestly these things are visceral to me because I could see myself doing one of these. In poor conditions a tiny mistake or untimely failure could waste half a dozen boats in a marina pretty quickly. I've never hit another boat.. but I've definitely come close..
Displacement hulls need a certain amount of speed to be able to maneuver, which can force you into some pretty bad situations. Reversing is a whole nother thing.

The stupidity is unbelievable! Accidents happen but most are avoidable. Your in the sea miles and miles of water and 2 boaters argue about to kill each other over space . Ugh dumb!!
Some people should never on boats that don't know how to use but they like spending money on other boats that they crash and burn that's fine it's always fun to watch
