Six years have passed since the first wave of investigations,

  1. This is so fucking sad. It's beyond words to describe what captain did. He is a monster. ?? And the fact that many of those victims leaved behind happy lives, I just turned 17 this year and It's so sad thinking that they were same age as me at that time.

  2. Sounds like they cared more about saving themselves and reporting the ship sinking for there insurance and also I reckon they delayed the rescue because they were scared to get sued if there was any survivors. They didnt want to risk there own lives saving the students, they told them to stay put while they escaped. The captain only cared for himself and his crew, he probably wanted them to die so no one could sue him, so sad

  3. Pls you guys never go in these types of places I'm requesting you all whoever you are wherever you are from you don't know it hurts man it hurts too much pls stay safe pls

  4. In which kind of society we live this kind of big incident happens n we r like ghost nothing to do in India I see alot of incidents but no one to talk. One part is good here south Koreans don't let it down n it shouldn't be down in sink rip to those innocent souls who have to live before even starts of actual living we'll never let y'all forget u n always in our memories

  5. I have heard in one clip when one boy said when this was happening said "why am l on this trip, l have dreams l want to survive" this totally breaks my hearts hope this angels rest in peace????

  6. People commenting here saying that "they would have thought logically and jumped out of the ship without listening to the captain" are the same people who will get overwhelmed by fear and do more harm the moment they face an actual situation.

  7. Everyone might be saying they should rescued this way and that, but remember guys we have learnt all the time to listen to the captain and the instructor no matter where we are going.

  8. The captain should've been the last off the boat, but instead he wasn't trained on what to do in this situation and others paid the price. Why would he say stay in below deck in a sinking ship, unless he wanted to make sure the rescue boats aren't over ran and he couldn't make it.

  9. I am not even Korean but I feel so bad about the girl who had to go through it all and I hope that such national disasters would never happen.
    Love from India ??

  10. Until now, I cannot believe how light is the sentence with the other crew.
And of all modern maritime disasters I have read through my stidues, this is the worst. Why? Because a lot of life can be saved. This is not a collision between ships or caused by a fortuitous event but PURE NEGLIGENCE.

  11. the captain is wrong and just selfish. all of them could’ve been saved but instead the captain decided to tell the children to stay there and go escape. smh such a selfish person.

  12. It's so incomprehensible how they remained in the cabin despite it filling up with water and getting dark. At what point does survival mode kick in? They were obedient to a fault. Very tragic.

  13. So the captain told them to stay put while he escaped and saved himself??? That is some bs right there.
My condolences to their families and may their souls rip?

  14. I want to praise this girl for being so strong and talking about this.
And to the commenters who are saying some insensitive things, please see this with empathy and kindness. Not everything requires your "logical" opinion or what you personally would've done to avoid this.

    Please.
