?FAMILY VEGGIE: Injera bread: Mix teff flour with water and yeast and let it ferment for 3 days. Pour a portion of the mixture in a pan. Cover the lid and wait for 30 seconds and then remove and roll it. | Kosta. In a pan with vegetable and garlic oil, add ground pepper and minced garlic. Add spinach then stir-fry and season with salt. | Fasolia: Saute carrots and minced garlic. Season with pepper and salt. Stir-fry then add Greek green bean cuts. | Musir wot: Saute onions and add ginger, paprika, cumin, garlic and ginger powder etc. Add water and lentils and cook until ready| Tikil Gomen: Saute carrots, garlic, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Add cabbage and mix well. | Kik wot: Saute onions in oil and add ginger, paprika, cumin, etc. Add water and lentils. Boil and then add ginger powder and garlic. Cook until ready. | Shiro wot: Saute garlic and then add water. Flavour with chickpea powder, ginger, paprika, cumin, etc and then cook until ready.

?DOSA: Pour a scoop of rice flour on a big flat pan. Add a mixture of oil and melted butter. Flat it out then roll it up. Serve with 3 chutneys: tomato, coconut, coriander with mint, and samba curries

?KERALA PARATHA: Pour oil on a stable, room temperature surface. Knead the dough by hand and then with a roller. Spread the dough out, then roll it starting from the center. Let it rest for 1 minute, then continue rolling. Put it on a flat pan with a little bit of oil. Pan fry it. Then slap it 5 times before serving.

?HOPPERS: Pour a scoop of rice flour on a round small pan. Cover the lid and wait for 2 minutes. Take it out and serve with stewed veggies.

?VEGGIE KURMA: Saute oil and garlic. Add diced potato, green peas, carrot and cauliflower. Stir well. Season with salt, cumin powder, paprika, ginger powder, turmeric powder. Add water. Add gravy (made of onion and cashew nuts), and another gravy (made of onion and tomato). Garnish with coriander, and it is ready to serve.

  1. I have zero doubt that I could function happily as a vegetarian in another country besides America. Here they try to imitate meat products and the textures and flavors are just wrong. Also you mostly come away with foods that are terribly unhealthy with triple the salt one should have in a day in one damn meal. While I am sure I could cook vegetarian or mostly veg in the USA I have no reference point of good veg food to even know where to begin. Indian cuisine attracts me but Viet and Thai balanced dishes are invariably my favorite with the herbs and falvors

  2. I'm so sick of the false narrative that American vegetarian food sucks. Look into Seventh Day Adventist recipes if you think it does. Look into An Apple A Day cookbook. Don't be scared by cottage cheese patties cuz they're the bomb! There's no restaurants that I know of just a culture of food built into the church. Former member here – though I still eat vegetarian.

  3. The Ethiopian restaurant owner didn’t explain the fasting properly. When it is the fasting season we don’t eat or drink any thing from minimum 12 to 15 hours a day and we only eat vegan food during the whole fasting season. It is a strict vegan no dairy products.
    During the fasting season you cleanse both your body and your soul from toxin.

God wants us to repent from our sins and to get back to him, He's calling you today don't harden your heart cause you don't know what might happen in the next hours for no man has the power over the breath to retain it neither the power in the day of death..
    I really want everyone who will come across this text to just stop and think a little bit about his soul destiny, what will my end be? Where will i go once i depart from this world? As we all know we have a specific life cycle on the earth and we won't last forever..
    Jesus Christ is the life, He gave his life, overpowered the death so those who believe in him should not perish but have an everlasting life tho they might once depart from this life, He who overpowered the death will bring them back to life on the last day
    Accept Jesus Christ today, repent from your sins, ask for his forgiveness as it's not too late yet.. Seek him in prayer, call out his name He will surely respond you if you are sincere in your heart, He's your God, He knows you, He loves you and wants to save you from the distress that awaits those who reject him
    I hope you make a good decision today as long as God still gives you the breath of life
