We received another call on the Hope For Paws emergency line. A Golden Retriever was laying down for many hours, unresponsive, and Loreta Frankonyte and I knew it was an emergency.
Of course, there was no way for us to know how badly he was injured (nothing was visible), but we could tell that something was wrong internally.
After the rescue, we named him Antonio, and rushed to see Dr. Pedraza.
He told us that looking at the ultrasound images, it looks like he was kicked really hard. He didn’t believe that the dog was hit by a car because there were no signs of that – no road rash, no broken bones, no visible trauma that is always present in cases where dogs are hit by cars… it was a hit that injured his liver and spleen.
Because of the injury, Antonio was bleeding internally, and the doctor told us that if we didn’t get to him that day, he would have bled internally and would have died within hours.

Such a handsome boy puppy
That dog is so wonderful and adorable, I loved to see him come out of his shell! Whoever did that has poison in their heart and oncoming darkness flowing in their veins and I hoped they will be placed in the pit of hell for that sin they commited! The dedication that hope for paws ? is unbelievable and incredible! ? I anticipate each new video greatly! ??????

It’s very difficult to imagine how some people treat dogs in our world, to think that this clearly loving dog was kicked to the point of almost killing him makes me extremely angry, if only someone had seen the person who did this they would have been been able to call authorities and report the person! As it is the Golden retriever’s life has been saved and he now has someone to love him faithfully for the rest of his life.
Get a furniture dolly for rolling the cage on the ground. Might help a little

There are cats in our park whose tails have been broken. I always wondered what kind of animal can do this to them. Smh.
After being treated so badly, it was precious how he soaked up and loved the first touches. He is starving for affection, and I’m so grateful you’re giving it! That happy smile says it all.
If you are "human being" who likes to hurt animals bec you're having a bad day or for whatever reason.. know that the same thing will happen to you. More bad karma will happen in your life coz you are hurting innocent animals who has the purest of hearts and soul. So if you think your life sucks, you feel superior or confident.. you will get what's yours and what you deserve for harming, abandoning, being cruel, abusing and neglecting animals. This coming Easter, stop giving live animals to children or irresponsible adults. Be a responsible pet owners, do your research before owning a pet. If you are in a $10 budget – DO NOT OWN A PET esp Rabbit, Cats or Dogs. They are not for people who only can spare $10 for food. Rabbits, esp are high maintenance pets. They are luxury pets and medicals can reach as high as $1000 to $5000 USD and free roam ( no cages 6 to 8 hours play time outside their cages everyday!) . Give flowers and chocolates or gift vouchers instead. Spare these animals. Adopt, Foster dont shop, neuter your pets, and dont let them stay in cages.

he looks like my dog passed away last year… i really miss my dog… retriever also!!! one thing they look alike is the ears… usually retriever dog ears is down but this dog ears are upright like my dog… anyway where's Antonio now?? i need to see more videos of him…
