Street Cat Rescue: Little Bear

Street Cat Rescue: Little Bear
Spread The Viralist

Little Bear was abandoned on the street until some kind neighbors took him in. Enjoy his journey to the good life!

In this video we talk about the reason why many cats are abandoned, and how improving access to affordable and accessible spay/neuter programs everywhere will result in fewer cats like Little Bear ending up on the street to begin with. We can’t rescue or adopt our way out of this problem. Please support proactive spay/neuter and TNR programs in your area.

  1. What an angel! Such a sweet little guy. So happy that you saved his life. A chain? People are so cruel. Bless his little heart. Thanks for sharing these heartbreaking and beautiful stories with us. There is hope for humanity ❤️

  2. I'm sorry…. you're asking for prioritization from local governments for spade/neutering resources? No, there are plenty of shelters that already provide this. What's needed is for humans to take of their animals and not abandon them. There are plenty of non profits that help out as well. We need funding for homeless prevention, especially for children. We need for funding to help veterans. We need more money for the poor and those suffering food insecurity issues. We need more funding for our seniors. Sorry, instead of asking for a hand out from government, leverage your charity and raise money on your own. Our resources are tapped out and we still have many humans going without.

  3. I have two cats: Clutch, who started off very feral and still has a wild streak to her 7+ years later, and Charlie who climbed on my lap moments after finding me and rolled over for a belly rub.

In both cases, I'm not sure who rescued whom.

  4. We must have Little Bear's sister. Same markings and same amazing jumping ability. Same purr. Her name is Jinx and she lives with us and 2 other rescues. Keep up the inspirational work.

  5. What an awesome kitty!! I hope the new 'staff' kept his name, esp the marching part.
Thanks to you for what you do and the wonderful people who didn't just shoo him away but made sure he was taken in to get help.
I would love to take in some more seniors, but I have a couple of very opinionated cats, which requires several zones to keep them from fighting. Yes I've tried integration, they can see/smell each other through wooden screen doors I installed. Nope, not happening! Only takes one or two to mess up the plans!
    Choosing seniors for multiple reasons:
    1) less likely to be adopted
    2) cats can live long time, don't want any kittens now (would love them!) who might end up homeless if I die – my oldest is now 21!!!
    3) they want and deserve a home and love too (at least the non-ferals at our local shelter – they were taken in at older age and many are not people friendly cats. The shelter is also sanctuary, so they'll have a home for life, but it isn't the same.
Thanks again for what you and nice people do!

  6. The chain was from an owner wanting to tell people that this “stray” is tame and sweet and needs a home❤️They need more appartments that take cats- not just dogs-
